New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My clinical work focuses on helping individuals navigate trauma, emotional distress, and complex life challenges through structured and effective therapeutic approaches. I specialize in the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and trauma-focused therapeutic interventions. These modalities allow me to support clients in developing healthier coping skills, improving emotional regulation, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, and processing traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive environment. My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, where each individual’s experiences and goals guide the therapeutic process. I work collaboratively with clients to build resilience, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable and trusting therapeutic relationship. During this initial appointment, we will review important background information so I can better understand your experiences, concerns, and goals for therapy. We will discuss what has brought you to therapy at this time, any current challenges you may be facing, and relevant aspects of your personal history. This may include discussing symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or other mental health challenges. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with during this first meeting. The first session also allows us to explore how therapy can best support you. I will provide an overview of my therapeutic approach, which may include evidence-based methods such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and trauma-informed interventions. We will also discuss your goals for treatment and begin identifying areas of focus moving forward. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and deciding whether this therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practices with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care. I specialize in helping individuals who have experienced trauma, emotional dysregulation, and complex mental health challenges by creating a safe, supportive environment where healing and growth can occur. One of my primary strengths is integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) interventions, which focus on improving emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills can be particularly helpful for individuals who experience intense emotions, relationship difficulties, or patterns of behavior that feel difficult to change. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Through CBT, clients learn practical strategies to shift thinking patterns and develop healthier coping skills. In addition, I specialize in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment specifically designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. This approach supports clients in examining how trauma has impacted their beliefs about themselves, others, and the world, and helps them develop more balanced and empowering perspectives. Overall, my work is guided by trauma-informed interventions that prioritize safety, empowerment, and collaboration. I strive to help clients build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward lasting emotional well-being.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to explore the deeper patterns that may be impacting their emotional well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life. I frequently work with individuals who have experienced trauma, complex trauma, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and who are seeking a supportive space to safely process those experiences. I also specialize in working with individuals experiencing personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and other complex mental health challenges. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed by intense emotions, relationship difficulties, negative thought patterns, or long-standing behavioral patterns that are difficult to change without professional support. My ideal clients are often individuals who are motivated for growth, insight, and meaningful change, even if they feel stuck or unsure where to begin. Together, we work to develop healthier coping strategies, increase emotional regulation, improve interpersonal functioning, and process past experiences that may be influencing present-day struggles.
