Do you feel as though no one understands you? As if you have intense feelings that other's don't understand? As if you are stifled and emotionally dysregulated? My best gift is my ability to connect to and understand other's emotions. My client's feel heard and understood, which is the first step in creating change in their life. <br> I am a LCSW with 15 years experience. I am certified EMDR and, yes, we can do it virtually!
In our first session we will get to know one another. I can be different from other providers because I offer a very relaxed environment in the therapy setting. I want you to feel as comfortable as you can because it can be anxiety ridden and challenging to enter into therapy. I have a gentle approach which allows my clients to ease in. It also allows me to get to know who you truly are and what you truly want.
I believe one of my greatest strengths in this field is due to the fact that I am in recovery myself from addiction. Throughout my own addiction battle I have learned that people need a safe, nonjudgmental setting in order to open and feel comfortable to begin to heal and improve. I am a real and down to earth person. I am passionate about this work and helping the people I work with. I have the education, life experience, willingness and aptitude to guide you (without pressure) to become your best self.
I work really well with clients who are struggling with addiction, trauma and sexuality. I am EMDR certified and have found it to be life changing, like you can breathe again. I love seeing my clients succeed by pushing through their stuck points and negative thinking patterns. I offer a very positive approach to therapy and I have been told that my clients feel comfortable opening up.
I use EMDR to treat trauma of any kind. It is an amazing treatment that I have done myself. I have found personally and with clients that it is a very successful treatment method for an increased quality of life.
