Do you feel like something is holding you back? Getting in your way? Many people run into barriers- barriers that keep them from achieving their goals, get in the way of their relationships or keep them from moving on. These barriers can look like anxiety, depression, trauma, communication patterns, etc. This is where I can help! I have worked with crisis services and trauma survivors my whole career; and trauma can look different for everyone! I enjoy nothing more than helping clients identify the barriers that are holding them back, constructing a plan to break it down and take steps towards doing so. I have a Marriage and Family Therapist License in addition to my Clinical Counselor License, so couples/family sessions are a passion of mine as well.

I’m a non-binary, queer therapist with three years of experience supporting adults and adolescents as they navigate life’s challenges and growth. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and in eating disorders, creating a therapy space where every identity and body is celebrated. My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I believe therapy is a place where you can show up fully as yourself, even when the process feels messy or uncomfortable. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, build skills for resilience, and coach you through the uneasy moments of change - because that is where true growth begins. Whether you’re seeking support for your relationship with food, your sense of identity, or the everyday stressors of life, my goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.

It is such a gift to be trusted by clients and to work together with a sense of safety. I act as a catalyst for change, growth and transformation. I integrate holistic healing modalities that focus on the mind-body connection including relaxation/stress reduction techniques, guided imagery, visualization, meditation, somatic practices, incorporating polyvagal theory, QiGong, Reiki, pet therapy, creative arts, and movement techniques. For me, the therapeutic process is a learning process, one of exploration and healing. The client is the expert in his/her/their experience. My practice was born from the understanding that for people who struggle often have filled their their day to day lives with survival mechanisms: habits, actions, and thoughts that may have helped in the moment but become burdensome over time. The lasting effects of trauma can create an overwhelming sense of self-blame, leaving individuals questioning, "Am I the problem?" or "Did I do something wrong?" My practice exists to help individuals build a healthier "life worth living". Where pain, fear, sadness, anger, and memories can be honored rather than suppressed. It is a place where healthier coping skills are developed, empowering clients to create lives filled with resilience and meaning. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has six years of experience and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a dual degree in Social Work and Nonprofit Organizational Management. Outside of work I love to travel, cook, and craft.

I'm glad that you're looking for help with whatever brought you here. I believe that therapy can be a supportive space for you and I to explore your journey. I facilitate this exploration through being attentive to you and your needs, noticing the effects of your experiences on your sense of self. We can also examine together how culture, society, and family influence our worlds, emotions, and identities. I've been practicing in school and community based settings since 2018, and received my independent license in 2023. Through working with a wide range of ages and populations, I've came to appreciate how hurt and pain are hard to carry alone, and I'm honored to be present on that journey with you. I also offer services in both English and Mandarin/Chinese. Sliding fee appointments for those in need.

I’m a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), offering telehealth-based art therapy and counseling for teens (13+) and adults across Ohio. My approach is rooted in a humanistic philosophy, with a strong focus on creativity, mindfulness, and values-based living. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their inner world, reconnect with what matters most, and develop more compassionate, flexible ways of moving through life’s challenges. In our sessions, we’ll use art-making and visual reflection to slow down, tune in, and explore what’s showing up with curiosity and care. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in clinical mental health training, incorporating evidence-based practices to support insight and emotional resilience — while honoring the deeply human and healing power of creative expression. I also hold an inclusive, socially aware perspective, recognizing how identity, environment, and lived experience shape our inner landscapes, and how creative work can help us navigate and reclaim those stories. Art has always been a meaningful outlet for me, and it’s a privilege to help others discover that same sense of clarity and self-connection. You don’t need to be an artist to benefit from this process; just a willingness to show up, get a little curious, and trust that insight can come in many forms.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Ohio rather than a city like Columbus?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Ohio from Cincinnati to Cleveland! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Ohio.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Self-Harming?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Self-Harming, is filtering therapists in Ohio that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
