Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me will allow an pportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, supportive space for you to share what’s on your mind. We’ll start by talking about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. I’ll also explain how therapy works, including confidentiality, session structure, and how we can work together effectively.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bleieve my greatest strength in helping others is to create a comfortable and non-threatening environment for your clients. This involves being approachable, empathetic, and understanding, which helps clients feel safe and valued. I want my client to feel at ease and a willingness to engage in therapy and open the door to experience personal growth in their journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives, even if they’re not sure where to start. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating life transitions, or struggling with self-worth. They’re often thoughtful, self-aware, and open to exploring new perspectives. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping clients clarify their goals, build resilience, and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling."

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I like using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because its such a powerful therapeutic approach that has consistently demonstrated effectiveness in addressing negative thought patterns and maladaptive behaviors. This method equips clients with tools to identify and challenge these detrimental thoughts, CBT fosters a deeper understanding of how these beliefs shape behavior and emotional responses. This method not only helps clients recognize the cognitive distortions that contribute to their struggles but also empowers them to reframe their thinking. This method helps my clients learn to confront and modify these negative thoughts, CBT tools helps one to experience a profound shift in their perceptions and actions, leading to healthier choices and emotional resilience.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in therapy to help clients develop psychological flexibility, which is the ability to stay open, present, and engaged in meaningful action, even when faced with challenging emotions or thoughts. ACT teaches individuals to accept their thoughts and feelings as natural parts of being human and to move forward guided by their values.

Compassion Focused

I treat indviudals with anxiety disorder and have found that using this method help individuals to treat themselves in a kinder and more supportive way. This method helps establish traits like acceptance and self-respect in order to enhance self-assurance and positive emotion.

Couples Counseling

I have help several couples through the use of this method by helping couples examine his/her underlying hopes and fears that drive each person in the relationship. The idea behind this approach is that this will allow the couple to understand one another better and improve the relationship dynamic

Motivational Interviewing

This methid help clients change their behavior by guiding them through conversations about the mixed feelings they may have about making changes.1 It centers on helping clients find their own reasons for change rather than relying on outside pressures.
