I’m a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), offering telehealth-based art therapy for teens (13+) and adults across Ohio. My approach is rooted in a humanistic philosophy, with a strong focus on creativity, mindfulness, and values-based living. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their inner world, reconnect with what matters most, and develop more compassionate, flexible ways of moving through life’s challenges. In our sessions, we’ll use art-making and visual reflection to slow down, tune in, and explore what’s showing up with curiosity and care. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in clinical mental health training, incorporating evidence-based practices to support insight and emotional resilience — while honoring the deeply human and healing power of creative expression. I also hold an inclusive, socially aware perspective, recognizing how identity, environment, and lived experience shape our inner landscapes, and how creative work can help us navigate and reclaim those stories. Art has always been a meaningful outlet for me, and it’s a privilege to help others discover that same sense of clarity and self-connection. You don’t need to be an artist to benefit from this process; just a willingness to show up, get a little curious, and trust that insight can come in many forms.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know one another and exploring what brought you here. We’ll talk through a bit of your background including any relevant mental health or treatment history, and begin identifying the goals you’d like to work toward. While this session is more conversational and not centered on art-making, you're welcome (but not required) to share any past experiences with art or creative expression. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions, share any hesitations, and get a feel for what working together and engaging in art therapy might look like for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my work unique is the intersection of creativity and clinical experience. I’m a lifelong artist with a background in fine art, and I bring that lens into the therapy space alongside years of experience working with diverse populations and mental health concerns. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and collaborative — especially for those who may not always feel seen or represented in traditional therapy. I value authenticity and warmth with a sense of humor, and I aim to meet each client with curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for their process. I’m committed to creating a space that’s culturally and racially inclusive, where clients of all identities — including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals — feel seen, respected, and supported.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Many of the people I work with are curious about art therapy but unsure where to start — and that’s okay. You don’t need any art experience to benefit from this work, just a willingness to explore and process things a little differently. I offer telehealth-based sessions to help make art therapy more accessible, and I encourage clients to use whatever materials they are curious about or have on hand — creativity doesn’t require fancy supplies. I’m best positioned to support teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem challenges, or simply feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. You might be someone who struggles to find the right words, or someone who’s already self-aware but looking for a more expressive, intuitive way to grow. If you're open to slowing down, tuning in, and getting curious, this space is here for you.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

As an art therapist rooted in humanism, I invite clients to explore their inner world through the process of making — slowing down, getting curious, and letting insight emerge in ways that words alone often can't reach. I believe all individuals are capable of self discovery, growth, and healing, and our work will be focused on using our creativity to elicit positive change and meaning-making.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

As an art therapist, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment strategies by using creative processes to help clients externalize thoughts, emotions, and values. Art-making becomes a way to explore difficult experiences with openness and curiosity, rather than avoidance. Through imagery, metaphor, and mindful reflection, clients can connect to what matters most to them and practice psychological flexibility.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

The act of making art becomes a grounding practice, inviting curiosity, acceptance, and nonjudgmental observation of thoughts, feelings, and sensations.
