My practice was born from the understanding that for people who struggle often have filled their their day to day lives with survival mechanisms — habits, actions, and thoughts that may have helped in the moment but become burdensome over time. The lasting effects of trauma can create an overwhelming sense of self-blame, leaving individuals questioning, "Am I the problem?" or "Did I do something wrong?" My practice exists to help individuals build a healthier "life worth living" — where pain, fear, sadness, anger, and memories can be honored rather than suppressed. It is a place where healthier coping skills are developed, empowering clients to create lives filled with resilience and meaning. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has five years of experience and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a dual degree in Social Work and Nonprofit Organizational Management. Outside of work I love to travel, cook, and craft.
The first session is all about setting the foundation. We’ll take time to get to know each other, explore what’s bringing you to therapy, and begin identifying the goals you’d like to work toward. You can expect a mix of conversation, reflection, and structure—we’ll talk about your history, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. This is a space where you set the pace. My goal is to create a calm, supportive environment where you feel safe, heard, and respected. We’ll also go over important information like confidentiality, what therapy looks like with me, and how we’ll measure progress. By the end of the first session, you’ll have a clearer idea of how we’ll move forward—together.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to meet clients where they are—with compassion, clarity, and honesty. I bring a deep understanding of complex trauma, especially for individuals who feel misunderstood or overlooked by systems meant to help them. My approach is both practical and affirming, grounded in evidence-based methods like EMDR, DBT, and psychoeducation, while also recognizing the real-life weight of your experiences. Clients often tell me they appreciate my directness paired with empathy. I believe in honest conversations, shared accountability, and creating a space where even the hardest truths can be spoken without shame. With years of experience inside residential and justice-based systems—and my own lived experiences—I bring insight into what’s said, what’s left unsaid, and what’s needed to move forward.
The clients who find the most success are those who are ready to create real change in their lives. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply know that life could be better than it is right now, you're in the right place. Therapy here is a collaborative, goal-oriented process—not something that lasts forever, but a powerful tool to help you reach a place of healing, clarity, and strength. The most meaningful progress happens when clients are open, honest, and willing to reflect on themselves and their experiences. You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need to be “fixed.” You just need to bring your willingness to show up, be real, and do the work—even when it’s hard. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, supportive, and structured space to grow, then we may be a great fit.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have seen firsthand how powerful it can be in helping clients move through trauma, anxiety, and deeply rooted emotional pain. In my practice, I use EMDR to support clients who feel stuck—even when they’ve already tried talk therapy. It’s especially helpful for processing early life experiences, confusing or incomplete memories, and those moments that still cause distress, even if they “shouldn’t.” I tailor EMDR to each person’s needs and comfort level. Whether we're working on a single traumatic event or a series of experiences, I use EMDR in a gentle, structured way that helps your brain safely reprocess what happened—so it stops feeling so heavy. Many clients find this method helps them gain emotional relief more quickly and deeply than traditional approaches alone.
