I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia who has been practicing since 2013. I believe in working from a deeply empathetic and validating perspective that can create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. By focusing on understanding the underlying thoughts and emotions that contribute to symptoms, I am able to help clients gain insight into their attachment wounds and how they may be impacting their current relationships and well-being. Uncovering attachment wounds is an essential part of the therapeutic process, as it allows clients to recognize and make sense of their past experiences and how they may be influencing their present lives. By exploring these wounds together, I can help clients develop a greater understanding of their attachment patterns and how they affect their sense of self, relationships, and overall emotional well-being. Repairing attachment wounds involves providing clients with a corrective emotional experience within the therapeutic relationship. By offering empathy, understanding, and acceptance, I can support clients in building trust and developing healthier attachment styles. This process may involve exploring and challenging negative beliefs or self-criticisms, practicing new ways of relating to oneself and others, and fostering self-compassion. Additionally, focusing on resilience can help clients develop the inner strength and coping strategies necessary to navigate challenges and setbacks. By identifying and building upon existing strengths and resources, clients can enhance their ability to bounce back from difficulties and adapt to life’s stressors.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed by anxiety, relationship conflict, addiction, or difficult life transitions, and they are looking for a safe space to process their experiences and find a path forward. I strive to create a compassionate and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and building the confidence needed to make meaningful changes.

What matters most to you shapes our work. Together, we define your aspirations and translate them into meaningful, tangible change. Our focus is on integrating growth into your daily life so that transformation is not just understood, but embodied.
You may notice that some sessions are held off video or in a hybrid format. This is an intentional part of how I practice. As a neurodivergent clinician, not always being on video allows me to be more fully present, attuned, and grounded in the work. Many clients find this creates a more comfortable space to show up openly and authentically.
That said, I aim to meet clients where they are, and we can always discuss what session format feels most supportive for you.

My Professional Background and Counseling Philosophy
My passion for mental health has shaped my work with individuals, families, and communities across a variety of settings. My approach centers on empowering clients by fostering self-awareness and resilience, and I am dedicated to ensuring every individual feels heard, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
Commitment to Client Autonomy
What distinguishes my counseling style is a steadfast commitment to honoring each client’s autonomy. For example, I have worked with clients who struggle with anxiety and self-doubt. By collaborating closely, we identify the client’s unique strengths and develop practical coping strategies tailored to their needs. As clients move through this process, they gradually regain their confidence and begin taking meaningful steps toward their desired outcomes. This experience reinforced for me the importance and effectiveness of a supportive, empowering therapeutic alliance. In every interaction, my focus is on achieving the best possible results and facilitating lasting, positive change.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Couple Therapy.
I am a therapist that likes to set goals and work towards getting clients the changes they are seeking: To feel better and to see positive changes in their lives. We will begin by talking and processing the issues and then figuring out what would be most helpful. I believe in listening to what my clients need an developing an individualized approach for each person. Clients would describe me as warm, open, non-directive, and affirming. I ask lots of questions to create further exploration and insight. I believe that the client is the director of his/ her own life and the therapist is a facilitator to help them get to deeper truths within. I work with clients to uncover root causes and treat the deeper issues, not just the symptoms. We come away from sessions with a plan of action for improvement.
Life today moves fast, and it’s easy to feel like you can’t quite keep up. Starting therapy is a meaningful step, and finding the right fit is an important part of that process. Together, we’ll create a supportive space to explore your challenges and work toward the goals that matter most to you.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and I would like to work with you to achieve your goals. I have a passion for working with clients experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, complex trauma, career/life transitions, PTSD, and depression.
Life is unpredictable and the experiences we have influence our belief systems, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This is true of both beautiful and traumatic experiences. There are only so many things we have control over within the systems we navigate. My goal is to help you figure out the things you do have control over, heal from the experiences that have negatively affected your life, and support you through the up's and down's of self-exploration.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable — sometimes even scary — but choosing to begin is already a powerful act of courage. I’m honored you’re here.

I employ an eclectic, integrative approach utilize skills from Rogerian/ Person centered, as well as CBT therapy techniques.
My focus
I am open to working with any clients that are open, even with some resistance, to learning, communicating, and walking through their issues. I am comfortable working with clients with stage of life/ transitioning issues, depression, anxiety, and others.
My communication style
I hope to create a place of peace and security where the clients can express themselves openly with no judgment and feel they are being fully heard. I look to foster an atmosphere of hope and healing.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey in mental health has given me the privilege to work in a variety of settings, from outpatient clinics to inpatient care, allowing me to connect deeply with clients across different stages of life.
My professional background includes 13 years of work experience, during which I have licenses in both Georgia and Mississippi. I am skilled in helping individuals with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and depression. I collaborate with my clients to cultivate a supportive and non-judgmental space, facilitating the sharing of thoughts and emotions with no fear. It takes great courage to take the initial step towards achieving a life that is both more fulfilling and happier. My purpose is to offer you support as you navigate through this process.
I am passionate about humans!
This includes ALL folx, adults, children, couples, and families. I am dedicated to advocating for mental health and wellness for individuals of all backgrounds, focusing on women’s health through all the stages of life, people of color, and LGBTQ+ communities. As a therapist, I offer specialized support that empowers clients with the thinking patterns, mindsets, and the skills they need to succeed in a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and process life’s challenges. My clients describe me as warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging.
I think one of the most important parts of therapy is finding the right "fit". That relationship is key in helping grow, trust and meet any goals that you might have going into the therapeutic process. Let me give you a glimpse of who I am!
I'm Amy, a LMHC, who has been in the counseling world for over 15 years and love what I get to do. I started my career in the community health sector which I learned so much and worked with diverse groups of people with an array of various needs. I have worked in school settings as well as in homes. I have been deep within the community in many of my roles along the way.
I have developed many techniques along the way as not one intervention will work for everyone. Some of the modalities I use are EMDR, CBT, Motivational interviewing, solution-focused techniques as well as a combination of these.
I meet people where they are, maybe having to learn how they are even feeling let alone how to cope with that feeling. Maybe we have a tool, but if no one ever took the time to teach us, then what good is that tool?
