Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the initial session, I look to help the client feel comfortable, safe and able to be themselves without judgement and without shame. My approach is calm, family-oriented style conversation that includes an assessment (information gathering), building that connection and laying out my approach with step-by-step plan of how I walk through sessions and the therapeutic process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is that fact that I am very approachable, transparent, brutally honest and in-tuned with my clients. I infuse my passion, emotional intelligence, openness and acceptance of all people with all challenges that they show up being just who they are without apology.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Anger, depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide are all based on internal/external culprits. Let me help you identify such agents, structure your thoughts and life and develop healthy boundaries to maintain resilience by combating such maladies through a brutally honest and cathartic approach based on practical in-sessions tools for out-of-session living.

I really enjoyed my first session and feel confident that Linton is the type of therapist that I've been waiting to connect with all these years. He listened to me asked questions, discussed goals, and is very knowledgable. I'm excited to start this journey with him as my first ever male therapist. First impressions are everything and I believe that he is a great fit for my healing journey.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I utilize EMDR after identifying client's abreaction (emotional threshold) that targets disturbances in an effort to untether the client from the issues that has become an impediment to their daily lifestyle.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to address how the seat of the unhealthy thinking styles negatively impacts outlook and engagement with self and the world around.

Psychodynamic

I provide ways to excavate the unconscious agents that influences the interaction of the client with interpersonal, environmental and social lifestyle by exposing and addressing the challenges with their emotional and behavioral patterns.

Couples Counseling

I work with couples to help with relationship reparation by assessing problem areas, incorporating a didactic and triadic model and utilizing clear and practical tools to help reach the goal of better living.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

My approach is to identify the emotion or thoughts that is conflated with semantics of blaming, flooding, poor communication and misunderstanding and exploring the emotions to help bring clarity and intent into a difficult and emotionally charged situation by honing in on the underlining emotion rather than the default feelings of anger, fear and other primary emotions.
