New to Grow
Welcome! I'm honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and hope. I have four years of experience as a Mental Health Counselor, preceded by four years in Crisis Prevention and Addiction Recovery, supporting individuals through life's most difficult seasons. I work with individuals beginning at age 8 through older adulthood, using an eclectic, evidence-based approach tailored to each person's unique needs. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma-Informed Care, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe every person has inherent worth, resilience, and the capacity for growth. My focus is helping clients discover their strengths, heal from trauma, and create lasting changes in their thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and daily lives. For clients who desire it, I also offer a faith-integrated approach, incorporating Christian principles and biblical truth into the counseling process while respecting each person's beliefs and values. My goal is to provide a compassionate, safe, and peaceful environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward healing, hope, and wholeness.
Beginning counseling with a new therapist can feel both hopeful and uncertain. We understand the courage it takes to share your story, and we are committed to creating a space where you are met with compassion, respect, and understanding. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of peace, safety, and trust so you can move forward in your healing journey at your own pace.
What makes my approach unique is that I partner with each client to create individualized treatment goals that reflect their personal values, hopes, and vision for growth. Through active listening, a trauma-informed perspective, and thoughtful discernment, I know when to gently challenge you toward meaningful change and when to provide the space to pause, rest, and heal at your own pace.
My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating difficult life circumstances such as trauma, grief and loss, abuse, addiction, anxiety, depression, PTSD, or significant life transitions. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges or simply seeking a healthier path forward, I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed space where we work together to develop effective coping strategies, process painful experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and discover practical solutions that foster healing, resilience, and lasting personal growth.
I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients understand how past experiences can influence their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we focus on creating safety, developing healthy coping strategies, processing difficult experiences, and building new perspectives that support healing, resilience, and personal growth. This approach helps individuals view their experiences through a broader lens, allowing them to better understand themselves, their relationships, and their environment. Through this process, clients can develop greater confidence, renewed hope, and healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.
I use Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful beliefs or thought patterns that may be creating distress, anxiety, and/or depression and work toward developing healthier perspectives and responses within relationships, personal decision-making, and lifestyles. This approach helps clients build confidence, improve emotional regulation, and learn new ways to respond to life’s challenges with greater understanding and resilience.
I utilize Christian Counseling for clients who desire a faith-integrated approach to their healing journey. This method incorporates Christian values, biblical principles, and spiritual reflection alongside evidence-based counseling practices to support emotional, mental, and personal growth. Together, we explore areas such as identity, purpose, forgiveness, hope, and healing while honoring each client’s personal beliefs and level of faith. My goal is to provide a compassionate, safe space where clients can strengthen their understanding of themselves, their experiences, and their relationship with God as they work toward restoration and wholeness.
