New to Grow
Recovery is not just about substances. It is about reclaiming yourself. I believe we are all recovering from something, whether that is trauma, anxiety, burnout, grief, unhealthy relationships, substance use, or years of surviving instead of truly living. Healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about reconnecting with the version of yourself that has been buried beneath life's experiences. I work with millennials who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhealthy generational patterns, and create lasting change. Together, we will explore what is keeping you stuck while building practical skills that help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and intention. My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. I create a space where you feel safe enough to be vulnerable while also feeling supported enough to grow. I believe therapy should be compassionate, practical, and empowering. You can expect me to listen with empathy while gently challenging the beliefs and behaviors that may no longer be serving you. Whether you are navigating life transitions, relationship struggles, trauma, anxiety, substance use, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you do not have to face it alone. My goal is to help you not only feel better but also build a life that feels authentic, balanced, and meaningful. Together, we will focus on helping you move beyond survival and toward lasting recovery and healing.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, so our first session is designed to help you exhale. We'll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, exploring the experiences that have shaped you, and identifying what you hope will be different in your life. I don't believe in rushing to "fix" you. Instead, we'll begin understanding the story behind your struggles while identifying your strengths, resilience, and the patterns that may no longer be serving you. Whether you're recovering from trauma, anxiety, burnout, substance use, grief, relationship pain, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you'll find a space where you don't have to pretend you're okay. Together, we'll create goals that feel realistic and meaningful, so you leave your first session with greater clarity and a direction for moving forward. You can expect our sessions to be conversational, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based approaches while always moving at a pace that feels safe enough to challenge you and supportive enough to keep you growing.
One of the biggest things I bring is perspective. As a recovery therapist, I believe we're all recovering from something. For some people it's substance use. For others it's trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, unhealthy relationships, grief, or years of surviving instead of living. Recovery is about learning how to become whole again. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I'm both compassionate and direct. I'll sit with you in difficult moments, but I'll also gently challenge the beliefs, behaviors, and coping patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal isn't simply to help you feel better but to help you build a life where you no longer have to rely on survival mode. My work is informed by experience across mental health and substance use treatment, including higher levels of care, where I have worked with individuals navigating complex trauma, addiction, relapse, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I integrate approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness while tailoring therapy to the person in front of me. I believe healing happens through honesty, connection, accountability, and self-compassion. Therapy with me is a place where you can be fully human, feel genuinely understood, and develop practical tools that create lasting change.
My ideal client is an adult who feels exhausted from simply getting through the day and is ready to begin healing. They may be recovering from trauma, anxiety, burnout, substance use, unhealthy relationships, grief, or major life transitions. They often appear to have it all together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. They are looking for more than a place to vent. They want practical tools, honest conversations, and a therapist who will both support and challenge them. They are ready to understand themselves on a deeper level, break unhealthy patterns, and build a life rooted in confidence, balance, and lasting recovery.

I identify as
Christian Counseling
Faith can be an important part of healing, but I believe it should never be forced. If you would like to include your Christian faith in therapy, we can explore how your beliefs, values, and relationship with God can support your healing and recovery. Together, we'll work through life's challenges while integrating biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual reflection in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT helps people manage overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, and respond to stress in healthier ways. I use DBT to teach practical skills like setting boundaries, managing conflict, regulating emotions, tolerating distress, and staying present instead of reacting impulsively. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your emotions without feeling controlled by them.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Our thoughts influence how we feel and the choices we make. CBT helps us identify negative thought patterns that may be increasing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or self-doubt. Together, we'll learn how to challenge unhelpful thinking, replace it with healthier perspectives, and create new behaviors that support the life you're working toward.
Motivational Interviewing
Change can be difficult, especially when part of you wants something different while another part feels stuck. Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative approach that helps you explore your own reasons for change instead of being told what to do. Whether you're working through substance use, relationships, anxiety, or life transitions, I'll help you build confidence, strengthen your motivation, and move toward the goals that matter most to you.
