Hi. I am a LPC in Georgia and a LCMHC in North Carolina. Additionally, I am a Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I received my master's degree from VCU in 2015, became licensed in 2020, and have been practicing on my own ever since. I live by two mottos "It takes a village" and "take time for you". It is important to “take time for yourself,” because we need time to recharge, so that we can continue to persevere. However, there comes a time in everyone’s life where the support of the village is needed. That’s why I believe it "takes a village” and working together as a team is important. Whether it is a clinician and client duo, or a team of medical professionals, we can achieve reasonable and practical goals.

A little bit about me, my name is Amanda Chilleme, I am a Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Master’s Certified Addiction professional. For the last 11 years I have been helping my clients identify intrinsically important goals, overcoming obstacles, and build the foundation for a better future. My specialty has been working with men and women struggling with both substance abuse and process or behavioral addictions; helping them to find the pathway to a life unencumbered. I also have years of experience treating clients with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorders, bereavement, trauma, attachment, and personality disorders. As a clinician, I utilize a human focused approach. I am not here to tell you what you need to work on; you already know the “what”. As a clinician, it is my job to help you understand the “why”, and eventually, the “how” (to fix it, overcome it, or just plain throw it away). Your first session, is essentially a two-way interview; as I listen to your story/narrative, and the “rough draft” begins to unfold, WE as a team determine if, 1) I am the right therapist for you, and 2) If you are the right client for me. If we both agree to move forward from the first session, identifying your goals will be your first assignment; giving you the opportunity to do this, helps me to better see how you think and interpret your barriers (i.e. stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, etc.). I am your coach, teammate, and cheer leader! We will focus on one goal at a time. Whether you are just starting this process, or you have been in it for a while, I encourage you to plant that mustard seed, and watch just how beautifully you can grow.

Even when they seem too small to notice, I'll notice! You’ll be surprised how much a little positivity can help. I have been a counselor for over a decade. I am a licensed professional counselor and a certified rehabilitation counselor with additional experience in helping individuals get back to work to attain the highest success possible after experiencing any life changing issues. I have helped people with almost everything you can think of. I have helped those with severe mental health concerns and those with mild ones. I have multicultural experience and have lived in and visited many different countries. I've learned a lot about cultural differences and appreciations. I respect the variation that we have as humans. I understand that there are times when struggles and challenges approach us and we need a little extra boost to help us work through it. My style is energetic, compassionate, and supportive. I can show you how to be proud of your efforts and steps in the right direction. I am client-centered and I want to listen to you and be as helpful as is possible. I am a firm believer in positive psychology, as I love highlighting your strengths! I love to empower my clients. You wake up in the morning and wonder if today is the day you'll be exposed as a "fraud". Your twisting and turning on the inside. Everything inside you hurts. Your head is spinning with thoughts of what your life should be like. The voice's inside your head keep telling you you're a failure as a person, as a partner, and as a parent. You feel the the "weight of the world" pushing down on you. You're tired. You're tired of being tired. You are ready to reclaim your life. You are ready to make a change!

Hi, I’m Maria—a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals find clarity, healing, and resilience through life’s challenges. I became a therapist because I deeply believe in the power of connection and the importance of feeling seen, heard, and understood. My passion for mental health grew from personal experiences and professional work in diverse communities, where I witnessed the strength people carry even in their most difficult moments. I hold a master’s degree in social work and am a licensed clinical social worker. My professional background includes working in outpatient mental health clinics and hospitals, where I’ve supported individuals facing anxiety, depression, parenting stress, identity issues, and relationship difficulties. I have extensive experience working with young adults, adults, and parents—particularly those navigating cultural stressors, life transitions, and caregiver burnout. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness. I tailor treatment to each person’s unique story, helping clients develop healthier thought patterns, regulate emotions, and reconnect with their strengths. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain, therapy can be a space to feel supported and empowered. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path to healing and growth.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in practice for over 15 years, I have worked with clients that have extensive levels of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, social and interpersonal relationship challenges not to exclude family discord. I have been adaptable to working in many different settings. I believe the approach of meeting my client where they are is a grounding principle for my therapeutic style. Although not always in person, the distance will never be seen as a distraction. I obtained my master’s degree from Florida State University, but faced many challenges with that. Some struggles in life peak during adolescence and I was no stranger to that. Transitions were not my friend, I had to overcome many relational, financial, and educational difficulties that grew me to understanding personal struggles. I believe in a client-centered approach as all clients are the experts on what works best for them and the challenges that they continue to face. I strive to provide an environment that is non-judgmental and accepting of where you are in your process while helping you get to where you want to be. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in exploring relationships among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a modality that assist in how trauma is seen and processed. I have worked the better part of my career assisting in trauma processing, clients have been sexually abused, physically abused, or have suffered from significant loss. I believe counseling is a journey towards healing. If you are willing to allow me on this journey with you to master any conflict in your life, I am ready when you are!
