I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing across six states Georgia, Oregon, New Hampshire, Maine, Alabama, and Washington, DC and the founder of Method Ivy, a holistic, integrative therapeutic approach rooted in compassion, intentional growth, and mind-body wellness. I am deeply passionate about supporting mental health and helping clients build lives that feel grounded, meaningful, and authentic. Through Method Ivy, I blend evidence-based therapies with reflective and values-driven practices, creating a warm, collaborative space where clients can heal, gain clarity, and move toward personal alignment and wellbeing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, my goal is to create a welcoming and non-judgmental space where you feel safe, heard, and respected. We will spend time exploring what led you to therapy, your current challenges, your strengths, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your story, patterns, and goals, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we will begin to clarify your priorities and outline a collaborative plan for therapy that reflects your needs, values, and personal intentions. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling grounded, supported, and confident that you are not navigating this process alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the balance of evidence-based therapy and holistic, compassionate care. Through Method Ivy, I integrate modalities such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based practices, behavioral activation, strengths-focused work, and reflective inquiry to support both emotional healing and sustainable personal growth. I am relational, collaborative, and deeply attuned to each client’s lived experience, helping clients build insight while also developing practical tools they can apply in daily life. My strengths include creating a grounded therapeutic presence, helping clients uncover themes and patterns with clarity, and guiding them toward greater self-acceptance, resilience, and alignment with their values and goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with individuals who are navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, self-doubt, or emotional overwhelm, and who are motivated to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. My ideal clients are thoughtful, self-reflective, and open to exploring the connection between their thoughts, behaviors, values, and lived experiences. Many of the clients I serve are caregivers, professionals, creatives, or high-achieving individuals who feel disconnected from their sense of purpose or identity and are seeking greater balance, confidence, and emotional resilience. Whether your goals include healing patterns that no longer serve you, strengthening self-compassion, or living more intentionally, I provide a supportive and encouraging therapeutic partnership to help you move forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundational framework for supporting clients through meaningful mindset and behavior change. My experience with CBT includes both formal training and ongoing practical application with clients seeking support around stress, anxiety, emotional regulation, and lifestyle transitions. I value CBT because it offers a structured, evidence-based approach that helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and actions, and empowers them to develop healthier patterns over time.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a core therapeutic approach to help clients cultivate emotional resilience, self-awareness, and values-aligned living. My experience with ACT includes formal training and applied practice with clients who are navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, and patterns of self-criticism or avoidance. I value ACT because it offers a compassionate, mindfulness-based framework that encourages clients to develop a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions rather than struggling against them.
