I have a certification in Somatic Experiencing which is a mind/body approach to healing trauma such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other symptoms. I am currently working towards certification in Inner Relationship Focusing (IRF), a parts work approach similar to Internal Family Systems (IFS).
First session
In our session we I will get to know your concerns and goals for therapy. I am curious if you have done counseling before. If so, I would like to know what modality you think the therapist was trained in and what positive tools you have.
Strengths
My greatest strengths is carefully and compassionately listening to a clients goals and then collaborating with them to achieve those goals.
Ideal clients
I love working with people of various ages, and who are open to learning how your own bodies know how to resolve the stress systems that bring you into counseling. I will teach you how to listen to your body in new ways in order for you to discover how it can heal. I love helping clients discover the wisdom of their body.
Origin story
What inspired me was personally experiencing the shifts that dedication to the therapeutic process can bring. The nature of the work is that small shifts can be noticed while the same problems persist. Both of these things will be true for some time.
Treatment methods
