I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Atlanta, GA. I received my MSW from Walden University. In this day and time Mental Health is something that is not only overlooked but often misunderstood. I strive to provide needed support for my clients no matter what life challenges they may be facing. I work with them to pilot through these challenges of life, whether they are personal, with family, or with peers.
My goal as your therapist is to assist you in developing the necessary coping skills to navigate through your mental health journey. In addition to providing a different perspective on mental health and how addressing it and its challenges can contribute to a happy healthy life.
I focus my treatment on assisting and supporting clients to be the pilot of their own lives. In working with my clients, I aim to break barriers of the stigmas associated with mental health and bring about awareness and a sense of healing.
My ideal clients are millennials who find themselves facing challenges navigating through the transition to adulthood. In many cases, this transition can cause stress, anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues.
I have extensive experience in using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help children, adolescents, and their families overcome the effects of traumatic experiences. My training and practical application of TF-CBT have equipped me with the skills necessary to effectively address trauma-related symptoms and promote healing. By incorporating these structured steps into my practice, I effectively use TF-CBT to help trauma survivors process their experiences, reduce trauma-related symptoms, and develop resilience and coping mechanisms for a healthier future
As a therapist, I have extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a well-established and evidence-based approach used to treat a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. My training and practice have allowed me to become proficient in the core principles and techniques of CBT, which focus on the interconnection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By integrating these CBT principles and techniques into my practice, I aim to empower clients to understand and change their thought patterns and behaviors, leading to improved mental health and quality of life.
I have extensive experience integrating mindfulness-based therapy approaches, such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), into my practice. These approaches focus on enhancing clients' awareness of the present moment and developing a non-judgmental attitude towards their thoughts and feelings. By integrating these mindfulness-based techniques into my practice, I aim to help clients develop a deeper awareness of the present moment, enhance their emotional regulation, and improve their overall mental health and well-being.
