Hi! I am Tomeka L Howell, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy from the state of Georgia. My goal is to walk alongside you as you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. I provide a supportive space to increase self-awareness, navigate challenges with compassion, and strengthen your ability to communicate with clarity and insight. Drawing from evidence-based interventions, I tailor our work together to support growth, healing, and meaningful change.
A supportive conversation where we’ll explore your goals, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin creating a plan tailored to your needs.
My approach blends evidence-based techniques with a person-centered focus to help you gain insight, build skills, and create meaningful change.”
I work with adults experiencing PTSD, interpersonal issues, self and spiritual questioning.

My work with trauma survivors has been a central focus throughout my career, beginning with my own experiences and while I was completing my Bachelor of Social Work and working in emergency shelters supporting survivors of domestic violence. Since that time, I have intentionally pursued education and advanced clinical training focused on helping children, families, and adults recover from the effects of adverse life experiences. My approach to trauma-informed care integrates evidence-based, trauma-focused treatments with an understanding of the neurobiology of trauma, attachment, and resilience. I have completed specialized training in two gold-standard PTSD treatments—Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)—and have also pursued advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for trauma, attachment disruptions and repair, and grief recovery for survivors of violent deaths. I believe trauma-informed care extends beyond symptom reduction and emphasizes creating emotional safety, fostering collaborative therapeutic relationships, and supporting you in processing difficult experiences while building resilience, restoring meaningful connections, and moving toward lives that align with you values.

This season marks a new beginning for me. I’m grateful that God led me to Mrs. Tomeka Howell, her guidance brought clarity, helped me identify the root of my challenges, and showed me how to move forward. I’m thankful for the support and direction as I continue working on myself. 🙏🏿

Tomeka is an excellent therapist! She’s warm and authentic. She challenges me, she gives me great insight, and she helps me reach my goals. I also love that she’s into holistic and spiritual care too.

Today was an introduction session that felt like a conversation. I loved the fact that she wanted to ensure that I got something out of the session. How we wrapped the session is what stood out to me.
