Hello, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Georgia with over five years of clinical practice experience. I earned my master’s degree from Ashford University and bring a strong commitment to culturally responsive care. I have extensive experience working with veterans, adults, and adolescents, supporting individuals facing substance use concerns, behavioral challenges, and a range of mental health conditions. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices, with a focus on helping clients build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will begin with brief introductions and then explore the specific challenges you’re currently facing. This initial conversation will help me gain a clear understanding of your needs and allow us to develop a thoughtful, personalized plan to guide our work in future sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have worked in a variety of roles within residential and outpatient mental health settings, providing direct care to adults and adolescents for over 15 years. Through this experience, I have identified my greatest strengths as active listening, empathy, compassion, effective communication, interpersonal problem-solving, and strong critical thinking skills.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to improve their lives but may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious about how to move forward. Many are eager to reach their personal goals yet find themselves missing the skills or tools needed to create meaningful change. Together, we work to build insight, develop practical strategies, and strengthen the confidence needed to move toward a more fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I've been using DBT in my practice for the past few years. Using this technique, you may learn to accept yourself, and changing your behavior might feel contradictory. I have received training from the State of Georgia Mental Health Department on dialectical behavior therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past five years. It’s helped with dozens of clients' challenges, recurring thoughts, and managing their anxiety. We will use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We will then use the results to change your thinking patterns and lead a less anxious and stressful life.

Motivational Interviewing

I’ve been using motivational interviewing in my practice for the past 10 years. It’s helped dozens of clients' challenges, reoccurring thoughts, and relapse preventions, which consequently have allowed them to stay in recovery.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 15 years. It’s helped with dozens of clients’ challenges, reoccurring thoughts, and managing symptoms related to their diagnoses. My primary focus during each session will be to ensure clients’ goals are focused and clients' skills are being developed.

Psychoeducation

Using different treatment modalities, I have learned to incorporate psychoeducation worksheets and techniques. For example, clients may use dairy cards along with skill worksheets related to dialectical behavior therapy.
