Hi! My name is Jacqueline Lizarazo, and I go by Jackie. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in therapy for individuals, children, and couples, with a focus on grief, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and sexual abuse.
Why Choose Me:
I want you to read the following passages:
On Abuse: “I lived in a glass house into which my mother could look at any time. In a glass house, however, you cannot conceal anything without giving yourself away, except by hiding it under the ground. And then you cannot see it yourself, either.”
On Depression: “Trees aren’t supposed to display fruit; they’re supposed to produce it. As much as I wanted to see results, I knew that I had to wait. The tree had to become healthy and mature before it could produce the fruit, and that takes time.”
If what you read resonates with you, this is the type of therapy I offer. I push, and sometimes might make you cry—not to harm, but for growth. I deeply care about my patients and only want the best for you.
I am not judgmental; I am here to listen and provide feedback. I often ask myself the question: if I were sitting where you are, would I come back? And the answer is yes. I give homework, so don’t expect it to be easy unless we need it to be. I am flexible, and my schedule is pretty open to fit your needs.
We’re going to have days where we just catch up and talk about what happened that week but be prepared to talk about your past. I believe together we can grow into the person you want to be.

There is a way out. Those who come to see me are often at a crossroads, frustrated at how they are trying to deal with problems and seeking workable strategies and solutions to cope. Therapy is meant to be a space to feel welcome to talk about thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are problematic. Understanding unhealthy behaviors, frustrations with life, and/or unsuccessful efforts to cope can help reveal the obstacles that may block your path to growth and desired outcomes.
Why do we explore? So you can live a life YOU want to live!
I bring my own journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery into every session, walking alongside clients as they navigate trauma, transitions, and identity shifts. With a specialty in perinatal and postpartum mental health and as an advanced hypnotherapist, I integrate somatic practices, guided meditation, breathwork, shadow work, and reflective exercises. Therapy with me is experiential and relational a space where you are seen, supported, and empowered to reconnect with your authentic self, process your emotions, and cultivate resilience, clarity, and self-compassion. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is not just about understanding your story it’s about embodying it, reclaiming your power, and stepping fully into your life.

Hi! I am a licensed mental health counselor in both North Carolina and Florida. I do mostly telehealth and offer in-person sessions for folks in the WNC area. I have been a therapist for 7 years. I attend trainings that I believe help to create that sacred space. I also really love to use humor if/when it is possible as I do believe laughter can be healing and connective.

My name is Willard and I am a licensed counselor in several states. My practice primarily focuses on helping others deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I help others to be okay with things that are beyond their control and work with them to establish themselves as the protagonist in their own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.

I strive to help you speak your untold truths so that you can begin to feed your hearts. In working with my clients, I found that healing is unequivocally about feeding our hearts with what brings us peace and ESPECIALLY what brings us joy. We all struggle to show up as ourselves—even I do as I am writing this—but I have chosen to unapologetically be myself so that you can be seen the way you deserve to be seen. For me, and for many of my clients, feeding ourselves with acts of joy are a personal and communal healing movement.
My career started as a classroom teacher and school counselor. I currently have over 20 years of experience working with students and families. In addition to my school counseling career, I am a crisis clinician in a major hospital in the DFW metroplex and work in over 32 emergency rooms providing on-call patient care. We all face unexpected challenges which sometimes leave us feeling hopeless and powerless. I believe that we have the ability to make healthy and appropriate choices regardless of the circumstances in which we may find ourselves. My role as a therapist is to assist and support clients as they learn new ways of coping and adjusting to life’s challenges. Counseling will vary depending upon one’s personality, stage of life, strengths or particular concern. Getting started can feel overwhelming. You have no idea where to even begin. You’ve been putting off therapy because you’re afraid it won’t help. More than anything you’d like to be able to feel happy again. You’d like to be able to put yourself out there more and to create deeper, more meaningful relationships with others. You want to have the courage to be your authentic self without hiding behind a mask.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Georgia. My experience comes from providing direct mental health and behavioral counseling for teens and adults with a variety of presenting issues, including anxiety, relationship and family issues, trauma, community violence, gender identity, and depression. I approach the therapeutic relationship with an acute sensitivity and respect for multi/cross-cultural factors. My clinical experience includes working with a diverse population which includes race, youth, families, and adults given my firsthand experience in navigating generational and cultural differences. Representation for minority groups in the broader world of mental health is still very small, and my own professional goals include creating more intersection between my personal knowledge of western cultures and professional experience in providing mental health support. My experience is varied and across settings, as I have provided individual and family therapy in community mental health agencies, school settings and day treatment facilities. I believe that we are all products of our closest relationships, our environment, our family systems, and every moment that leads to the present us. I strive to treat the therapeutic relationship, and you, with compassion, respect, and warmth. My therapy style and approach draws influence from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychoeducation, and Structural systems. A top priority for me is to meet you where you are and calibrate treatment and my approach to what will work best for us as we work together to meet your goals. Whether you are working towards enlightenment and insight or symptom-relief and improved functions, my hope is that we can collaboratively work together to achieve it! It takes a lot of strength and will power to work towards a more fulfilling and happier life. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support you and empower you.

Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns.
To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress.
My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki.
Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and hope. I provide compassionate, strengths-based support tailored to your personal goals, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered therapy.
My work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s values and beliefs. For clients who desire it, I am comfortable integrating Christian-based discussion and guidance into therapy in a thoughtful, balanced way—always client-led and never imposed. Faith, when meaningful to you, can be a powerful source of comfort, direction, and strength, and we can explore how it fits into your healing and growth.
I am dedicated to building authentic, trusting relationships and creating a supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll work toward practical solutions, emotional growth, and a renewed sense of purpose—at a pace that feels right for you.

So when life is dragging you back, it means that it is going to launch you into something great.” Life has its way of pulling us backward, but I believe with positive support, healthy coping skills, and processing through things that are dragging you back; you can learn to thrive and launch yourself into greater things.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Missouri and also licensed in Illinois and Massachusetts. I received my Master's from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I have worked with clients of all ages and value the opportunity to support individuals in making meaningful, positive changes to live their best lives. I bring over ten years of experience in the mental health field, working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, and substance and alcohol use disorders. I specialize in perinatal mental health and have also served as a breastfeeding peer counselor, which allows me to incorporate additional support and understanding into my work with individuals and families.
My greatest strength as a therapist is building genuine, trusting relationships where clients feel accepted, heard, and understood. Using a variety of therapeutic approaches, I help clients develop practical coping skills to manage daily stress and navigate symptoms they have struggled with in the past. I truly believe change is possible.
I use DBT(Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) informed skills to help women and individuals in the perinatal period and beyond build mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthy relationship skills. These tools are effective in managing anxiety, depression, mood changes, trauma responses, disordered eating, substance use, and other emotional challenges common in women’s and perinatal mental health.
Every client is unique and is facing their own distinctive challenges. Therefore each treatment plan should be personalized and individualized. An ideal client is one who comes to counseling with an open mind and is ready to try new approaches and coping skills. Each person will benefit differently from a wide variety of approaches. Together we can and will find the right strategies that work best for you. There is not a "normal" or "standard" cookie-cutter path. It is a journey! I have experience working with issues as grief, anxiety, anger, mood, neurological, trauma, relationship issues, substance use disorders, and more.
I am dually independently licensed and passionate about providing the utmost quality of services to people struggling with mental health, substance use disorders and dual diagnoses. I have over 10 years of practice, including a wide array of experience, working with clients of all age groups individually, with couples and in groups.
The therapeutic environment is a safe place for clients and their families to experience their vulnerabilities while sharing their stories. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, existential, EMDR, and Person-Centered treatment interventions and I have found that when using these interventions, people begin to realize the strength to overcome challenges.
