New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting adults through life’s challenges and transitions. I work with clients navigating relationship and friendship difficulties, immigration-related stress, self-worth concerns, military, motivation, and personal goals. I also provide an affirming space for members of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is warm, supportive, and focused on empathetic listening. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable speaking openly. I am compassionate but also straightforward—I believe therapy works best when we can talk honestly about what is happening and focus on practical ways to move forward. I also offer therapy in Russian for clients who feel more comfortable speaking in their native language.
During our first session, we will focus on an introduction and gathering important information about what brought you to therapy. You will have the opportunity to share your current concerns, life circumstances, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. I may ask questions about different areas of your life to better understand your experiences, challenges, and goals. Together, we will begin identifying priorities and discussing possible approaches that can help you move forward. My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable speaking openly.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with a wide and diverse client population, helping individuals navigate challenges such as life transitions, relationship difficulties, immigration-related stress, and personal growth. I also have experience working with military service members and their families, and I value the opportunity to support soldiers as they manage the unique stressors related to military life. My approach combines empathetic listening, practical strategies, and a respectful, culturally sensitive perspective to help clients make meaningful progress in their lives.
My ideal clients are adults who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. Many are navigating life transitions, relationship or friendship challenges, immigration-related stress, questions about identity, self-worth, or motivation. Some feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about the next steps in their personal or professional life. I work best with clients who are open to honest conversation, practical strategies, and exploring new ways of thinking and responding to life’s challenges. I also welcome LGBTQ+ clients and individuals seeking a supportive, culturally sensitive space.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP) to help clients understand and manage the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to suicidal thinking. With over 20 years of clinical experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work collaboratively with clients to identify triggers, challenge negative thought patterns, and develop practical coping and safety strategies. My approach focuses on strengthening emotional regulation, building resilience, and creating a personalized safety plan so clients feel more supported and in control during difficult moments.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I guide clients in building mindfulness skills, increasing psychological flexibility, and focusing on actions that align with their personal values. ACT helps clients move forward even during challenging times by learning practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, and overwhelming thoughts while creating a more meaningful and balanced life.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I provide culturally sensitive therapy that respects each client’s cultural background, identity, and life experiences. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel understood and supported while exploring challenges within the context of their culture, values, and personal beliefs.
