LMFT, 25 years of experience
New to Grow
I’ve been passionate about psychology since I was eighteen, when I began studying it in Cuba. My mother once told me she had always dreamed of being a psychologist but had to follow another path—and that dream inspired my own. After completing my degree in Cuba, where I worked in inpatient and school settings, I continued my journey in the United States and earned my master’s degree in psychology. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, families, and adults through moments of crisis, grief, and major life transitions. My experience with multidisciplinary teams has taught me to see each person as a whole—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Healing happens when we look at the full picture of someone’s life, not just their symptoms.
Our first session is about understanding what brought you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish. I’ll explain my role and approach, and we’ll work together to clarify your goals. Rather than rushing to label or diagnose, I take time to listen carefully so we can create a plan that feels meaningful and achievable.
Clients describe me as direct, honest, and deeply present. I don’t hide the truth or offer quick fixes—I’ll walk beside you and support you as you take ownership of your growth. My presence, empathy, and focus help clients feel heard, understood, and motivated to move forward.
I work primarily with adults and families, including Spanish-speaking clients and first-generation families navigating cultural transitions. I also enjoy helping young adults who feel stuck or unsure of their next steps. My approach is solution-focused and brief, helping you make meaningful progress in a matter of months—not years.
I provide evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tailored to the unique needs of each client. My approach focuses on identifying unhelpful thought patterns, building coping skills, and fostering positive behavioral change. I work collaboratively with individuals to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions, helping them develop practical tools for lasting well-being.
I offer Family Therapy to support healthier communication, stronger relationships, and problem-solving within the family system. My approach helps families navigate conflict, life transitions, parenting challenges, and behavioral concerns by fostering collaboration and understanding. Together, we work on building connection and resilience to create lasting positive change.
I provide Grief Therapy to support individuals and families coping with loss. My approach creates a compassionate space to process emotions, navigate the grieving journey, and find meaning and healing. Together, we work toward resilience, acceptance, and restoring balance while honoring the memory of loved ones.
