I have been working in the social work field in different areas for twenty years. I have dedicated most of my career to working with children and families. During my time working with families I conducted weekly parenting group sessions using a fifteen week evidence based program. At the beginning of my career, I was employed at Florida International University through a grant funded program that lasted three years serving clients that experienced domestic violence. I have been employed in Miami Dade County public schools for seventeen years. In the school system I worked for three years conducting HIV and STD education for students in an at risk high school, worked for nine years as a school counselor and currently, I provide services families with special needs. I have been employed part-time at a psychiatric hospital for eight years, conducting group sessions, baker acts, individual sessions, family meetings and completing treatment plans.

I graduated in 1999 with a degree in counseling from Portland State University. I interned couple thousand hours, then took a quick 20 years away. Hello, My name is Moises Ramy. I am a licensed mental health therapist, a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida, and a doctor of psychology. I graduated as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University, Miami Campus and completed my doctoral internship at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky. At that time, the mission of FMC was a federal prison/hospital for incarcerated females with medical and psychological conditions. During my doctoral internship, I completed three clinical rotations. Two at FMC, in the Crisis Wing and in the General Population Unit and an elective rotation at Ridge Behavioral Health System (formerly Charter Ridge Hospital of Lexington), Lexington, Kentucky, assessing suicidality of adolescents in crisis from the Lexington area and the Appalachians. My clinical spectrum covers diverse females and males, LGBTQ+ members, homeless veterans, and young college students experiencing moderate to severe adjustment problems as well as older adult issues. During these clinical years, I have acquired vast experience helping clients from all walks of life struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflicts, bipolar disorder, gender and sexual identity issues, abuse and trauma, and substance abuse. I have offered most of my clinical services in different prisons and rehabilitation centers, private and community mental health hospitals, and veteran homeless organizations. My exposure and experience working with these populations have extraordinarily helped me become a more empathetic, non-judgmental and non-directive clinician.
