You may have spent your life showing up for everyone else, navigating spaces where you have to work twice as hard to feel seen. You deserve a space where you don’t have to translate your experience or explain the weight of 'the hustle'—a space where your culture and identity are honored, not just acknowledged. I provide expert, culturally-attuned support through evidence-based therapy to help you work through barriers and live fully. Vulnerability isn’t a weakness; it’s your greatest tool for change. You’ve got the vision—let’s build the path to get you there.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our very first priority in the initial session, and in our time together, is simply building real trust. Therapy works best when you feel entirely safe, heard, and respected. The initial session is not about jumping straight into fixing things or feeling pressured to share your deepest secrets right away. It’s about getting to know each other, setting the pace you are comfortable with, and establishing this space as a judgment-free zone. You are the expert on your own life, and my job is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Your vision for your life matters. I’m committed to partnering with you to make it a reality, providing a safe space for growth and the gentle shifts in perspective that lead to true transformation. What makes our work together uniquely powerful is how we bridge that safe space with a highly tailored, three-pillared approach designed to heal your past, stabilize your present, and empower your future: We heal the roots of the struggle (EMDR): True transformation requires more than just talking about our pain; it requires letting the brain and body process it. Using EMDR, we will gently target the past distress, trauma, or old 'stuck' memories that drive your current anxiety or self-doubt. By clearing these neurological blocks, we take the emotional sting out of the past so it no longer dictates your present. We master the present moment (DBT): Growth requires stability. Through DBT, I will provide you with concrete, practical skills to manage intense emotions, handle distress without feeling overwhelmed, and navigate your relationships with absolute clarity. This ensures that even when life feels chaotic, you have a solid anchor to keep you grounded. We rewire the mindset for the future (REBT): Those 'gentle shifts in perspective' come alive here. Using REBT, we will actively identify and dismantle the hidden, irrational beliefs and harsh self-criticism that hold you back. We will challenge the 'shoulds' and 'musts' that cause unnecessary suffering, replacing them with a realistic, empowering mindset that aligns with the life you actually want to live. By blending the deep neurological healing of EMDR, the emotional steadiness of DBT, and the cognitive breakthroughs of REBT, we aren’t just patching up symptoms. We are partnering to fundamentally rewrite how you experience yourself and your world.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Trauma often robs us of our sense of self, leaving us to live by the rules of our triggers. My goal is to help you reclaim your narrative. My ideal client is someone who is ready to step into a dual commitment: working actively toward tangible life goals, while simultaneously doing the deep, courageous work of healing their trauma. If you are ready to move beyond just managing symptoms and want to truly transform your life, this space is for you. Together, we don't just look at where you want to go; we address the wounds that have been holding you back from getting there. We will dig deep into your core values—the things that make you uniquely you—and use them as our compass. This collaborative process requires your active participation, a willingness to look inward, and a readiness to take practical steps forward. By honoring your history without letting it dictate your destiny, we create a space where peace isn't just a temporary break from chaos, but a permanent foundation you can return to. You bring the willingness to grow, and I will bring the roadmap to help you heal the past while actively building the future you deserve.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

As a DBT-trained clinician through the Linehan Institute, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy into my practice to provide clients with a comprehensive set of practical tools. In my years of experience, I have seen firsthand how effectively DBT helps individuals manage intense emotions, improve their relationships, and cope with life's challenges in a healthier way. Together, we work on learning and implementing concrete skills focused on four core areas: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. My goal is to empower you with the exact strategies you need to build a more balanced, fulfilling life.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) operates on the fundamental idea that it is not simply events that cause our emotional and behavioral reactions, but our deeply held beliefs about those events. As a clinician informed in REBT through the Albert Ellis Institute, I have seen firsthand how effective this approach is in my years of practice. By utilizing the ABC model, I help clients identify their activating events and underlying belief systems, and then work collaboratively with them toward disputing irrational beliefs. This process empowers individuals to replace self-limiting thoughts with healthier, more rational perspectives, leading to lasting emotional relief.

EMDR

When we experience something overwhelming or traumatic, our brain sometimes fails to process the event correctly. Instead, the memory gets 'stuck' in its raw, emotional form. This is why a smell, sound, or thought can trigger an intense physical reaction years later—our brain thinks the event is still happening. As an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Trained clinician, I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help you safely move past these blocks. With EMDR, you don’t have to describe the trauma in vivid detail; you only need to 'hold it' in your mind. Once that memory is reprocessed, it doesn't disappear, but it loses its emotional 'charge.' You can remember it as a historical fact without the panic or pain. The ultimate goal is for you to reach a point where you can confidently say, 'That happened to me, but it is over, and I am okay now.' This treatment is evidence-based, proven to reduce symptoms of PTSD, and highly effective in helping you resolve trauma so you can finally move toward a place of peace.
