Hi, I’m Cassie! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have over a decade of experience working with couples and individuals in a private practice setting. I love watching clients grow and believe that counseling is something that all of us can benefit from.
After practicing counseling for more than a decade, I think I do an excellent job of meeting clients at their point of need and developing a helpful course of treatment for each individual client or couple.
I believe that our darkest and most difficult seasons have the potential to shape us into who we want to be. Sometimes we just need someone who can help provide the tools and the hope to get there.
First session
In our first session, we'll start with getting to know each other. I want to hear what you hope to gain from the counseling process and what outcome you’re looking for from this process. My goal is for every client to achieve what they want to from counseling, so we'll talk about goals and lay out a plan for your time in counseling.
Strengths
After practicing counseling for more than a decade, I think I do an excellent job of meeting clients at their point of need and developing a helpful course of treatment for each individual client or couple. Counseling is a deeply personal process and it’s important to me that each client have a counseling process that is tailored to their individual circumstances.
Ideal clients
I love working with clients who are dealing with relationship challenges or individual life stress. I have extensive experience helping clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues and general life stress. I'm also happy to offer counseling from a Christian perspective for those clients who are interested in incorporating their faith into their counseling sessions in a safe and judgement-free way. Only individual sessions can be billed to insurance at this time.
Treatment methods
Christian Counseling
For clients who are interested in incorporating their faith into the counseling process, I offer Christian counseling. This is always handled in a supportive and judgement-free way and is never mandated for clients who are not interested.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize CBT to help client recognize the connection between their thought, behaviors, and feelings. We also use practical CBT interventions to help lead to growth and change.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach in my sessions, creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can be fully yourself. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to listen deeply, offer support and insight, and walk alongside you as you explore what you need and where you want to go. Together, we work at a pace that feels comfortable while building greater self-awareness, confidence, and meaningful change.
