I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Carlos Albizu University, earned in 2021. With over three years of experience, I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, and life transitions. I’m dedicated to helping clients build skills, find clarity, and feel more in control of their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask some questions about what’s been going on and what brought you to therapy, and you can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. We’ll talk about your goals and what you’d like to get out of therapy, and I’ll explain how I work so you know what to expect moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood. I’m good at helping people explore their thoughts and emotions while offering practical tools to make positive changes. I’m focused on working together with clients to help them feel empowered and confident in their growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or are going through life changes. Many are dealing with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or wanting to understand themselves better. My clients are often open to reflecting on their thoughts and emotions, even if it feels new or uncomfortable. Some have clear goals like improving relationships or managing anxiety while others just want to feel better. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to help clients build insight, develop coping skills, and create positive change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a type of therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. In our sessions, we’ll look at patterns in your thinking that might be causing stress or problems, and work on ways to change them. The goal is to help you feel better and handle challenges with more confidence and control.

Roxana always has great advice and helps me challenge my perspective of the issues that I am facing. I really like that because I sometimes hyper focus on my thoughts and don't really see another way to think about something, but when she gets me to look at these thoughts in another way, I tend to feel more at ease with whatever I was thinking. I always look forward to our sessions!
