I take an affirming, inclusive approach to therapy, creating space to explore identity, relationships, and lived experiences without judgment. I support and advocate for people across the spectrum of gender identity and sexual orientation. As a racial justice ally, I welcome conversations about race and the impact of racial injustice, while centering the voices and experiences of those most affected. You are the expert in your own life experiences. I will listen and explore in a way that creates a safe space for healing and diving deeper into what weighs you down. My aim is to empower you, helping you tap into your inner strength and wisdom. Your journey towards resilience is a personal one, and I am here to support you in uncovering the strength that has always resided within you. With over two decades of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of mental health. I am well-versed in various Evidence Based Treatment Models. Healing is not one size fits all. So, we will work together to find the approach that fits you.
First session
I want to know what is important to you. What are your values and priorities? What is getting in the way of those priorities? How can I help you feel safe? What are your past experiences with therapy? What has worked and what hasn't?
Strengths
My greatest strength is in holding space for you. My insight, intuition and emotional connection to the human experience allows me to create a safe space for the unsafe parts of our experiences to be explored, understood, and worked through at your own pace.
Ideal clients
Do you have an idea of what you need but sometimes need a little nudge? I'm here for it! Clients that are interested in a collaborative approach to healing would be an excellent fit. We will start where you are ready and work together as you find your own unique path. And when you get stuck, I will both hold space for you and give you that gentle push you might need.
Treatment methods
Humanistic
My world view is progressive and intersectional taking into account how each unique person engages with the world around them.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate CBT techniques into a person-centered and trauma-informed approach to helping individuals grow and heal through their experiences.
Trauma-Focused CBT
As a certified practitioner, I apply the TF-CBT model as well as Childhood Traumatic Greif and Post Traumatic Growth techniques to assist with trauma processing and enhancing resilience.
Mind-body approach
Incorporated into this journey is recognizing the connection between physical and emotional wellness. Recognizing this interaction can open tremendous opportunities for healing.
Motivational Interviewing
Through Motivational Interviewing, we will collaboratively explore what drives you and how we can help you achieve goals that align with your values.
