I will like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a licensed mental health therapist. I want to tell you a little about myself and my fieldwork experiences. I worked in this field for several years, along with various training, to assist clients in different areas. In the last several years, I worked in a mental health hospital with adolescents, substance abuse, and crisis intervention in various settings. People with trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia were some of the people I helped at work. I worked with individuals on career choices to increase their career paths to maximize success. I support individuals in their desire to become independent, and I do this by helping them identify their true potential.

I have been a therapist for over 25 years. I have a Master's in Social Work and a Master's in Education. I am also a certified Pet Bereavement Specialist. I am very flexible with scheduling. I am looking forward to meeting with people in my office Appointments after 8pm would be virtual. My puppy is with me at the office. She is hypoallergic, a psychiatric service dog and being trained as a Therapy Dog. (if there is an issue with that please let me know. I utilize a narrative therapy style. I prioritize building a strong foundation of trust in my client relationships and creating a safe environment for them. I myself am an Adoptee as well an Adoptive mother. Because of my own experiences and passionate involvement in the field of adoption I am able to provide support, insight, honesty, guidance and compassion. I have more than 30 years of experience in the mental health field with training at the doctoral and master's levels. My purpose is to create a safe and transformative space based on therapy modalities focused on skills learning, insight, and emotional processing. I am trained and worked in Brazil as well as in the US in a variety of mental health programs from schools, correction, hospitals and private practice. I provide therapy in English and Portuguese.
