I have extensive training in crisis counseling in the Emergency Department and inpatient psychiatric units. I have worked in domestic violence and provided community-based therapy to children and families. I enjoy working with new mothers, caregivers, and those working through grief and loss.
It is important for me to acknowledge that making an appointment with a new therapist and showing up is a big step. Trying new things can be scary and it is my goal to create a calm and supportive space. You can expect to be heard and given the opportunity to express your goals and hopes for the future.
My biggest strength is the ability to listen to my clients with compassion. While I might have had a similar experience, or not at all, how we interpret situations is different and unique to everyone. I am experienced in post-partum depression, trauma, abuse, domestic violence, crisis management, grief, anger management , self-esteem, mood disorders , anxiety and panic , Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) , self-harm, compassion fatigue, workplace issues

If I could add empowering, humorous, and authentic I would. She is very validating while challenging me to set achievable goals while pushing to process scary things. I feel very comfortable being vulnerable and sharing how I’m feeling and why I think I’m feeling. She is VERY GOOD at hearing everything I spew out and addresses it all, I’m very appreciative of not having to say well a) is happening and wait for a response I can say well a), b), and c) are happening and I feel this about d) and she can work through all that with me. Slowing me down after I spew it all out. Meeting me where I am to help me get to where I want to go.
