LCSW, 18 years of experience
New to Grow
My name is Jennifer Grant. I am a Licensed clinical social worker. With over 20 years of experience as a therapist, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through a wide range of life challenges. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, offering a warm, compassionate, and practical approach to therapy. My areas of focus include helping clients navigate difficult life transitions, manage anxiety, cope with depression, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, and my role is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and develop effective tools for lasting change. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply seeking greater balance and well-being, I am here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
In our first session, you can expect a calm and welcoming space where you can talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. I will work with you to better understand your background, current concerns, and goals. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with and we move at your pace. Together, we’ll begin creating a plan that feels supportive and manageable for you.
One of my strengths as a therapist is creating a space where you can feel truly comfortable sharing what’s on your mind as you might with a trusted friend, while still knowing you’re in the hands of a trained professional. I’m engaged and communicative, and I don’t believe in sitting silently while you wonder what I’m thinking. If you want suggestions or guidance, I’m here to offer them, but I’ll never push advice you haven’t asked for. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m warm, real, and professional all at once.
If you recognize that something in your life isn’t working and are ready to take steps toward a healthier and more fulfilling path, I am here to help. Change can be difficult and even scary at times, and even if you aren't sure where to start or how to make those changes, we can work together to find the best techniques that work for you.
I work with clients to help them gain insight into their current maladaptive thought patterns and utilize CBT techniques and tools to help them learn to redirect these thoughts and focus on more realistic and solution focused outcomes and thoughts.
