Hello! I am Sam and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist. I believe that every individual is capable of change. I know change can be scary and it takes courage to make the first step in asking for help. I believe building rapport and being met with compassion is essential to creating a healing environment to empower you to be the best you. Sometimes we are just held back by maladaptive behavioral or thought patterns, we feel overwhelmed with distressing thoughts and emotions, we experience constant worry/anxiety over past or future events, or we find that words simply are not enough to express ourselves. With my support, we will fill your toolbox full of skills to reach your full potential, overcome obstacles, and live the life that you want to live! I use evidence-based practices with my clients which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (skills-based). I have also been trained in Exposure and Response Prevention. I have spent most of my post-graduate experience working with adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, and OCD. My goal as a clinician is to set up therapeutic goals and then provide my clients with the right tools to reach those goals, all while providing a safe place to express themselves. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will go over the intake forms and questionnaire. Think of it as a get to know you session where I can answer any questions you might have and you can ask me questions. We will work together to establish appropriate treatment methods and develop your treatment plan so you know what to expect from sessions moving forward.

I specialize in treating depression and anxiety for adults. My strengths include my compassion for others and meeting my clients where they are at in the therapy process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing CBT for treatment of anxiety and other anxiety related disorders such as OCD. I have been trained in Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize skills-based DBT to help clients regulate mood and implement health coping skills for intense emotions.
