I work with clients on finding modalities to help them break out of survival mode and feel safe in their daily lives. My approach is more holistic: mind/body/spirit. I use a person-centered approach in my counseling practice which emphasizes that the client is the best authority for his/her own life and that the answers to his/her questions are inside of them. I serve as a mirror to reflect to the client the inherent wisdom that we uncover during our therapy sessions. I also rely strongly on EMDR as a modality to help client with the root of their trauma. This process has been quite effective for me in my search for understanding and I hope to be able to share it with others who feel called to this type of work with me as well.
