New to Grow
Hi, I'm Lauren, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I am passionate about helping people understand and regulate their nervous systems. When stress, trauma, or difficult life experiences keep us in survival mode, it can impact our relationships, emotions, physical health, and overall quality of life. Together, we will explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical sensations while building the tools needed to feel more grounded, balanced, and in control. My approach is both collaborative and direct. I believe therapy should be both supportive and practical. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can gain insight, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to help you feel comfortable from the very beginning. During our first session, we'll discuss what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and the goals you'd like to achieve. I will gather information about your personal history, relationships, stressors, strengths, and coping patterns so I can better understand your unique experiences. We will also explore how stress and emotions show up in your body and begin identifying patterns that may be contributing to your current challenges. Most importantly, our first session is an opportunity for you to determine whether working together feels like a good fit. You can expect a supportive, judgment-free conversation where you feel heard, understood, and respected.
What sets my approach apart is my ability to combine compassion, directness, and practical strategies for change. I help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves while learning how to regulate their nervous systems, manage difficult emotions, and respond to life's challenges more effectively. I take a trauma-informed and individualized approach to therapy, recognizing that every person's experiences and goals are different. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, mindfulness, emotional regulation strategies, and strengths-based interventions to help clients process difficult experiences and build resilience. Clients often appreciate that sessions feel both supportive and productive. My goal is to help you move beyond simply surviving and begin living with greater confidence, connection, and emotional balance.
I work with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, life transitions, and co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns. I particularly enjoy working with professionals, caregivers, helpers, and high-achieving individuals who often feel responsible for everyone else while neglecting their own needs. Many of my clients struggle with chronic stress, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or feeling stuck in survival mode. My approach is especially helpful for individuals seeking greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and a stronger connection to themselves and their values.
