New to Grow
I specialize in trauma-informed therapy for Black and Brown women. I integrate nervous system regulation, cognitive awareness, and evidence‑based strategies with a warm, relational style. I often support clients through issues of burnout, overwhelm, life transitions, grief, trauma, postpartum recovery, faith challenges, and relationship stress. My own healing journey shapes my commitment to creating spaces where clients feel seen, understood, and supported. I work collaboratively with clients, helping them to identify patterns, break cycles, and build skills that lead to meaningful, sustainable change.
In our work together, you can expect compassion, genuine curiosity, honest feedback, accountability, and practical tools you can use in your daily life. In a first session, it’s completely normal to feel nervous or unsure of where to start. You don’t need to have everything figured out. I’ll guide the conversation with thoughtful, engaging questions to get a sense of what’s been going on and what led you to reach out for help. Together, we’ll begin clarifying your goals for treatment so you leave the session with a sense of direction and support.
With 12 years of experience, I bring a grounded, relational approach shaped by my background in storytelling, clinical practice, ministry, and nonprofit work. I offer faith‑integrated support for those whose spiritual foundation is central to their healing. I view therapy as a collaborative process. I don’t position myself as the expert on your life — you are. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you identify patterns, navigate stuck points, and build the insight and skills needed to create meaningful change. My goal is to support you in reconnecting with your inner peace, confidence, and sense of wholeness — so you’re not just surviving, but truly thriving.
My ideal client is a Black woman or woman of color who has spent years showing up for everyone else while quietly struggling herself. Many of the women I work with feel stuck in survival mode—juggling high expectations, burnout, anxiety, depression, or a lingering sense of “I don’t even know who I am outside of what I do for others.” I support over‑achieving career women, people‑pleasers, first‑time moms, and exhausted caregivers who are craving relief, clarity, and a deeper sense of inner calm but aren’t sure where to start. If you’re longing to feel more grounded, more like yourself, and more at peace, you’re in the right place.

I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My approach is rooted in person‑centered therapy, which basically means I’m not here to tell you who you are or how you “should” feel. I’m here to really listen. I show up with empathy, honesty, and genuine curiosity, creating a space where you can exhale and be fully yourself without judgment. I trust that you know your life better than anyone, and my role is to help you reconnect with your own wisdom and strengths as we move at a pace that feels right for you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a really practical, down‑to‑earth way. Together, we look at the thoughts that are stressing you out or keeping you stuck and explore how they’re affecting your emotions and choices. I’ll help you notice patterns, challenge the ones that aren’t serving you, and replace them with more balanced, supportive ways of thinking. CBT gives us a clear, evidence‑based framework that helps you feel more in control and creates real, lasting change.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you sort through mixed feelings about making changes. Instead of pushing you, I ask thoughtful questions that help you clarify what you want, what matters to you, and what feels realistic. MI helps you build confidence, reconnect with your values, and take steps that feel aligned with your life... not anyone else’s.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you get really clear on what you want and the strengths you already have to get there. Instead of digging endlessly into what’s wrong, we focus on what’s working and what small steps can move you forward. In session, we’ll talk about your goals, highlight your resources, and create simple, doable strategies that help you make progress.
Christian Counseling
For many people, faith is a core part of who they are, and I honor that. When we work together, you get to decide how much, or how little, you want your faith to be part of the conversation. I don’t force anything; I follow your lead. If you choose to integrate it, I offer guidance, tools, and perspectives rooted in Christian principles to support your emotional and spiritual growth in a way that feels authentic to you.
