You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in painful patterns that make it hard to manage daily life, relationships, or your sense of self-worth. Sometimes these struggles are tied to current life challenges, and other times they are connected to earlier experiences that continue to affect how you feel, relate to others, and respond to stress today. Therapy can help you better understand what is going on and begin making meaningful changes.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking licensed psychotherapist and the author of Healing Childhood Trauma. I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, low self-worth, and relationship difficulties. I help clients explore the patterns that may be keeping them stuck while building healthier ways of coping, relating, and moving through daily life.
Please note: I accept insurance for individual therapy; however, specialized couples counseling and family therapy are offered exclusively on a private-pay basis.
My approach is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. I work with respect for your pace and aim to create a space where you can better understand your experiences, work through emotional pain, and build more secure patterns in your life and relationships.
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. I support you through this process with the goal of helping you feel more secure, more confident, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges. When you feel ready to begin, I invite you to schedule our first session today.

What typically surprises people is that I am the 11th of 13 children - all from the same parents. Growing up with so many siblings has given me a great opportunity to learn about family dynamics and effective discipline. My parents did a great job of maintaining a safe and well-behaved home, and I use their example as a template while also incorporating my own experience as a parent for working with families today.
As for my approach to therapy, I use several different theories depending on the need of the client; however, my primary mode is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It just fits my personality. If you are looking for a therapist who focuses solely on your emotions and how you're feeling on any given day, then I will not be a good fit for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a therapist who not only does all that but who will also listen to everything you say (as well as the meaning behind what you say) and then challenge your thinking habits to help you find more effective and productive thinking patterns, then I'm on board for that. I learned a long time ago that many clients do not want things "Sugar Coated", but rather prefer their therapist to be respectfully bold and blunt. If this is who you are looking for in a therapist, then let's get to work.

Hello, I am a clinical social worker who has practiced in multiple setting over the last 18 years and I value the experience of creating trust, empathy and understand in the treatment process. DISCLAIMER: Please do not book me based off of ratings or reviews. Your experience with me will be personal and UNIQUE to YOUR needs, not someone else's needs or experience. Please book me if you perceive I am the right TOOL to use and help you reach your INDIVIDUAL goals. Book me if you are seeking an action-oriented therapist who provides HOMEWORK! Book me if you have insight about your situation, some history with therapy, are seeking solution-focused steps, and are not seeking someone to solely affirm you. I may or may not be the best therapist for newcomers (depends on you) as I ask a lot of questions, which can overwhelm you if you are not used to being questioned. Questioning is to understand you and get to the root of the problem, as well as the excuses used to perpetuate the problem. I am not interested in treating symptoms but rather getting to the core of the problem. If you don't want to do the work, I am just an expensive "Friend". So please be sure that you understand my style before booking me ;-). I am warm, DIRECT, solution-focused, AUTHENTIC, mildly confrontational, 100% Raw/Real and guaranteed to make you laugh as I have often heard from clients that I am funny :-) I won't lie to you or co-sign lies you tell yourself. I will gently reflect what you are not saying and what you are not showing so that you can explore for yourself. The only way out of pain is through. Not above, below, around but through.. The good news is you are not alone and don’t have to do it alone. Utilize the resources offered in this collaborative effort in creating the life (mind, body, & soul) you deserve.
You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or patterns that are hard to break, especially when stress, grief, or addiction has started affecting your relationships, emotions, or daily life. Trying to hold it all together on your own can feel exhausting. You don’t have to do this alone. I provide a supportive space where you can better understand what you’re carrying, begin untangling what’s keeping you stuck, and move toward greater clarity, stability, and emotional balance.
I work with adults facing anxiety, addiction, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, relationship issues, family conflict, and mood-related concerns.
