New to Grow
I didn't always know I wanted to be a therapist. Growing up in a household where mental health issues were present allowed me to see firsthand it's effect on individuals. After undergraduate school, I landed my first job in a psychiatric hospital. That's when things clicked for me, and I knew that I wanted to help people become their best selves. I had a natural curiosity to understand the world, how people think, and what drives human behavior. I also believe in the power of connectedness. All these things came together and pushed me to pursue my graduate degree in counseling. My experiences early on taught me that no one is perfect, we all struggle, and we all deserve grace. I am here to tell you that your story doesn't have to end where it is now. I aim to show that we are all resilient and have the ability to overcome challenges.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re unsure of what to expect. In our first session, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and at ease. We'll spend time getting to know each other as we explore what brought you to therapy and what you'd like to get out of our work together. I use a person-centered approach, which means I meet you where you are, without judgment. You set the pace, and I listen deeply. I may ask about your current challenges, whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating a major life change, and we’ll begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. We’ll also start introducing tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to better understand how your thoughts and behaviors impact your emotional well-being. If you're unsure where to begin, that’s okay, I’m here to guide you. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of the therapeutic process and how we can move forward together. This is a space for growth, healing, and real change, and I’m here to walk with you every step of the way.
I value clear, open, and honest communication to ensure a supportive and non-judgmental environment. I provide empathetic and active listening, allowing you the space to explore those things which are most meaningful to you. Whether it's stress from work or school, I am here to help you navigate those challenges and come up with ways to manage. As a therapist, I believe that every individual has the potential for growth, healing, and change. My role is to help you uncover that potential and move forward with confidence. I support clients reaching their goal through collaborative goal setting, creating a safe and supportive space, using evidence-based tools, and empowering self-awareness.
I specialize in working with adults and teens facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, PTSD, and life transitions. With several years of experience, I’ve helped individuals move from simply surviving to actively thriving by creating a space where they feel truly heard and supported. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're coming back, my goal is to partner with you to help you achieve your goals.
My therapeutic style combines the warmth of person-centered therapy with the structure and practical tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). That means we’ll focus on you—your strengths, your values, your goals—while also exploring how your thoughts and patterns may be holding you back. Together, we’ll build insight, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop healthy coping strategies to support lasting change.
