Based on the information I gather about my client, we discuss what the client wants from their sessions. The individual and I work together as a team. Finding the right "fit" of counselor and client is key to a successful experience for the client. After the counselor gives the client some unique coping skills, the counselor asks the client if these skills might work for them.
