About me

Hello everyone! My name is Ashley Martin and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker, cat mom and a lover of art and music! I have over seven years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ care. Clinically, I utilize person-centered techniques, psychoeducation, solution focused therapy, CBT and DBT techniques to engage clients! I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space for growth and healing. My style of therapy is collaborative, compassionate and to develop practical tools to navigate life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

People come to therapy for different reasons and at different spots in their journey. In our first session, we will explore what brings you in, discuss your goals and expectations and begin working on building a connection. To me it’s important to know your background on therapy, what you’re hoping to get of the experience and how we can make this a safe space for you to process and work towards your goals. This first session is about getting to know each other and setting the stage for our journey ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to relate to others with empathy and open mindedness. My own experiences have greatly shaped my understanding of pain and suffering and the importance of needing a safe space to talk and feel through the chaos of life. I am a firm believer that life is tough, but, so are you. It’s my assertion that with a little help and support from someone, you can make a great deal of progress on your journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My favorite clients to serve are people who are passionate about self-exploration and growth. Clients who seek to be empowered, and to be shown that healing is possible. I believe in helping build resilience and improving your mental health along the way!
