I spent the a decade working in the addiction treatment industry. Working in that industry opened my eyes to the need for adequate trauma treatment so I became trained as an EMDR practitioner. In studying mind- body approaches to trauma, such as EMDR, I learned about the effectiveness of Eastern Practices such as Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation in treating a range of psychological challenges.Personally experiencing the benefits of a mindfulness practice led me to obtain formal training in the study of yoga, Tai Chi and mediation so I could bring those benefits to my clients as well. Currently, I specialize in treating a wide range of psychological challenges using integrative approaches such as mindfulness based and trauma informed approaches.
My approach is client-centered and collaborative, rooted in the belief that healing begins by recognizing and building on each person’s unique strengths. Trauma can hurt long after the painful events are over. It creeps into our relationships and makes it hard to love and trust others. Often, even more painfully, it makes it hard to love and trust ourselves. Often we try to ignore it, avoid it, try to forget it, but the hurt and memories always seem to come back. Maybe you find it hard to trust others, unsure if they are safe. Maybe you notice you are a "people pleaser", worried about making others happy but not happy yourself. If people in your life have hurt you, I want you to know that you are not alone, and healing is possible.
As a trauma therapist, I will help you connect how the story of your past echoes into your present. I will support you in identifying the hangups that get you stuck and help you to get a foothold in your life. As you heal from your past and harmful coping, I will support you with taking control of your life and moving towards the goals you've hoped for.
I have the best job in the world. It's an incredible experience to connect to people, many whom have never been able to safely share about themselves, and help them feel heard, validated, and supported. Starting therapy can be nerve-wracking, but if you are interested, or even curious, I'd be happy to work with you.

I specialize in treating a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, family conflict, self-esteem issues, and life transitions.
My approach is integrative and client-centered. I draw on evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Positive Psychotherapy to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. With Positive Psychotherapy and a strength-based lens, I empower individuals to recognize their inner resources, enhance coping skills, and explore new possibilities.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and nonjudgmental, fostering a respectful and supportive environment where you can feel safe to explore your experiences and challenges. I use an integrative approach that incorporates a variety of evidence-based strategies and treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), mindfulness-based techniques, and motivational interviewing. This allows me to tailor treatment to your individual goals, values, and preferences rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), personality disorders, bipolar disorder, hoarding behaviors, occupational stress, grief, and relationship concerns. I also specialize in treating all forms of addiction, including substance use disorders (alcohol, opioids, stimulants, cannabis, and others), behavioral addictions such as gambling, compulsive shopping, internet and gaming addiction, binge eating, and other impulsive or compulsive behaviors. In 2020, I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Through this journey, I have had experiences that allowed me to better understand the broader systems that impact people’s lives and to focus on finding collaborative, strength-based solutions that support real, lasting change.

The last four years have been challenging for all of us. COVID came into our lives and altered the way we lived and worked. Many of us spent possibly a year or two in partial isolation, seeing only our closest friends and family members. Now, it is 2025 and we are wanting to get our old style lives back, but this transition has been difficult to accomplish. So far, 2025 has not been a peaceful year. You may believe you have not grown in the past 2-3 years, lost confidence and become more anxious. My goal is to assist you in believing in yourself again. Your negative self talk needs to be replaced with positive affirmations, thoughts and actions.
Anxiety, both social and life skill focused, along with depression, loss of self confidence or self esteem, and not understanding how these negative beliefs began. Many of us have anger over lost time, along with irritation.
Now, as you look in the mirror, you want to begin to be the brave person you once were. You want to be social, travel and feel the joy again that life used to offer.
My work and yours also, is to help you find your confidence to begin the life you thought you lost.
Please feel free to contact me so we can begin your new journey.
Welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 13 years of experience in mental health. I specialize in helping individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship/ family conflicts, parenting issues/postpartum, life transitions, immigration, poor body image, low self-esteem and overcoming perfectionism. Therapy is a safe space to explore, process, and understand your emotions, and I do so with a feminist, social justice, and humanistic lens. I utilize evidence-based practices, such as mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. We may just as much explore your childhood and family of origin as we may identify concrete solutions to real-time problems. I love bringing in humor as appropriate. Therapy is challenging, and it takes a lot of courage to recognize "I need help." I hope to enter every session with an open mind and a nonjudgmental stance as we walk together through some difficult moments in your life.
Hello, My name is Debbie!
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I am passionate about helping others on their mental health journey to wellbeing. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and obtained my Master's in Counseling at the University of San Diego. My interest in helping others started in early childhood. Supporting others was something I always found very rewarding, and continue to feel that way to this day. For the past 10 years, I have had the opportunity to help others in a variety of mental health settings. I have worked in residential group homes, provided one on one mental health skills coaching, been a school counselor, and recently have been a therapist for the last 6 years.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who have been practicing for over 12 years. My passion is working with adults and guiding them in overcoming trauma and healing wounded child parts. This passion is due to my own healing journey as a child who was touched inappropriately, exposed to domestic violence in a military household where my father abused drugs, physically abused my mother, and later experienced the death of my then 3-year-old son. Through my own healing journey, I learned how to "manage" my symptoms after receiving CBT talk therapy and grief counseling but had never healed from my trauma or knew about a wounded child part until receiving my own EMDR counseling. Since then, I have dedicated my life to supporting others who are on their own healing journeys.
Before healing, I experienced symptoms consisting of low self-esteem, mood instability, not feeling safe, trust issues, and the need to control everything which negatively impacted my relationships with others. The journey was difficult but successful, thanks to EMDR. Thankfully, your journey doesn't have to be difficult. EMDR and Brainspotting are two highly effective modalities in treating trauma by helping to heal wounded parts through the brain's own healing process. If you're tired of feeling that you're always being judged, feeling stuck and unable to move forward because “something” is holding you back, experiencing trust or relationship issues, not feeling as if you're good enough, or if you're waking up sad, angry, irritable, or depressed and not understanding why, you may have a wounded part that's ready to heal. If so, I would be honored for the opportunity to help the wounded part within you to recognize that they're safe, they can trust, and that they're good enough.

Do you often feel missed by the people in your life? When you look forward does it sometimes feel impossible to experience something new?
As an Authentic Relating Facilitator, Nonviolent Communication Practitioner, and Licensed Therapist, I have a deep desire to attune to you and your world. Together we can illuminate the patterns and roads blocks that you have been experiencing. You need to know where you are to get to where you want to go. We can build a map to get you there.
Once we have a map of where we are headed, we will practice the skills needed to get to your desired life. Some of the skills we will use to navigate the terrain are mindfulness, somatic and mind-body practices, written word exploration, feelings and needs awareness, and vision/goals work.

In 2017 I helped develop Hoag Hospital’s Maternal Mental Health program, where I served as Lead Therapist. I was trained by the Beck Institute in 2018 in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders.
Hi there! My name is Chelsea and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. In the past, I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients of all ages and backgrounds. I believe my communication style is calm and gentle, while still being direct. I do my best to provide a nonjudgmental space wherein the clients I work with can feel comfortable sharing their concerns. I will also challenge clients when appropriate, to allow them to develop insight into ways they can change their thoughts or behaviors in a way that would be helpful for them.
My goal is to empower clients to reach their goals, so they can learn tools and techniques to help them better build upon their strengths and manage mental health symptoms. Eventually, my hope is for all of my clients to feel they are in a place where they can manage symptoms and life stressors on their own, through utilizing the skills they've learned throughout therapy. But until that time, I aim to help my clients learn how to change maladaptive patterns of behavior, and learn ways of helping their selves manage the challenges they are facing.

Hi, I'm Eva.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, tired and just not as active in your life as you would like to be? Feeling challenged with just keeping up with everyday activities. Seem to forget to take care of yourself, that everybody else comes before you?
I help people like yourself to get back to feeling more positive, less tired, burnt out, isolated and lonely.
We will together come up with a plan for how to best work on the issues that you want to change. We will use an approach that you feel most comfortable with, and work toward a life that gives back pleasure, harmony and ease.
Whether you are dealing with a situational situation or a longer-term struggle I'll be there to support you through your work.
You have already taken a big step in the right direction just by reading through different clinicians' statements. The next step is to choose a clinician, contact Growth Therapy and set up an appointment. Sometimes these are the hardest steps to take.
One of my most important goals is to provide you with a safe space where you feel validated, and supported and provide you with no judgment, compassion and respect.
I grew up in a small town in Hawaii, then came to Southern California and began studying psychology in 2001. I completed my master’s degree at Fuller School of Psychology in 2010 and served children and families at a community mental health agency for 10 years, also starting a private practice 8 years ago. While I loved island life, I’ve put down roots here through friendships, involvement in my community, and my love of LA’s cultural diversity.
I specialize in holding space for the deep-thinkers and cycle-breakers, the individuals who have spent a lifetime looking inward and dismantling generational patterns, yet still feel the friction of a world demanding 'more' at the expense of 'being.'
My approach combines a lifelong passion for psychology and therapeutic processes with a multicultural, spiritually grounded worldview. As a mother, a doctoral candidate, and a business owner, I don't just teach boundaries; I live them. I am a 'Keturah-sized' bridge in the wellness gap for those who have cycled through therapists searching for a peer who truly sees them. Together, we move past the '15 tasks by yesterday' mentality and into a strategic, soul-deep architecture of rest, healing, and expansion.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I have 15 years of experience helping individuals cope with the challenges they face in their lives. Welcome—I'm truly glad you're here. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Level 2 trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist, I am passionate about helping people live happier and healthier lives. My 20 years in the field—spanning hospitals, psychiatric facilities, military communities, and non-profit organizations—have taught me that healing is possible and that every person's journey is unique. Reaching out takes real strength, and I'm honored to be part of your story.
Welcome to my practice!
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with more than 20 years of experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, anger issues, and self-harm behaviors. I want to get to know you and what might be happening with you that you are seeking counseling for. Most people come to therapy when they are in some type of distress. Sometimes this is conscious and sometimes not. If you are feeling powerless or distressed for some reason or grieving a loss in life, I would like to see how we can work in therapy.
The way we work will depend on the issues you bring to therapy. I have experience with different approaches to therapy including but not limited to HUMANISTIC THERAPY (includes the importance of personal responsibility, and a positive, non-judgmental approach), STRUCTURAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (includes the importance of family structure and healthy boundaries), GOTTMAN (includes helping couples communicate better, resolve conflicts constructively, and create a shared sense of meaning), CBT (generally includes a short-term approach that helps you identify and change negative or unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior to improve your mood and overall well-being).
All the above types of counseling styles point towards change or growth. Many times, there is a creative element to counseling and many times the counseling can give you more of a sense of purpose for yourself in life. Please see my calendar with Grow to sign up for an appointment today.
