I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My approach to therapy honors your individuality to support your unique journey towards exploring, growing, and healing. Life is filled with both beautiful and challenging experiences. I appreciate establishing strong therapeutic alliances with my clients so I can assess the best interventions towards treatment. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My love for connecting with others inspired me to explore a career as a therapist. My experience watching my clients gain insight, feel empowered, and grow in their therapeutic journey drives me to keep doing this work. My communication style as a therapist is warm, curious, and empowering to create a safe space for you to feel seen and be supported. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort. The goal through our work together is to foster a space that is safe, authentic, empowering, and allows you to explore and achieve your goals.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My client focus is working with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress management, adjusting to life transitions, low motivation, low self-esteem, relational stressors, family conflict, and grief/loss.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use this treatment approach in therapy when working with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, increase your awareness on patterns of unhelpful behaviors, and learn better ways of coping with problems.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Respecting my client's background as it relates to race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender is important to my practice. Being aware and understanding cultural differences helps foster a space to build trust and allows me to support your emotional needs.
Interpersonal
With this treatment approach the focus is to work on improving your relationships with others and understanding how your emotions/mood affect your relationships.
Gestalt
When working through this treatment approach I am helping clients increase their sense of self-awareness, recognizing avoidance, and learning more about showing up as their authentic selves.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
With this treatment approach the focus is to break automatic, negative thought patterns. I teach my clients how to recognize and practice skills that encourage non-judgmental forms of awareness.
