Rosa Schuff
I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with four years of supervised clinical experience prior to becoming independently licensed. I work with adults, couples, veterans, and teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, and stress. I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can feel heard while working toward meaningful change.
First session
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and understand what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your concerns, strengths, experiences, and goals at a pace that feels comfortable. Whether I’m working with an individual, couple, or family, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and clearer about what we can work toward together.
Strengths
I bring warmth, humor, curiosity, and compassion into the therapy room. I’ll give you space when you need it, but I’m also comfortable gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, practical, and tailored to what works for you.
Ideal clients
My ideal client may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. They may be navigating trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, or patterns they’re ready to better understand. They don’t need to have everything figured out—just a willingness to show up, be curious, and work toward meaningful change at their own pace. Together, we can identify strengths, build practical skills, and create healthier patterns that feel sustainable in everyday life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore whether those thoughts are accurate or helpful, and develop more balanced ways of responding. I also incorporate practical coping skills and exercises clients can use between sessions so the work we do in therapy can translate into everyday life.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore mixed feelings about change without judgment or pressure. Together, we identify what matters most to you, explore barriers that may be getting in the way, and build confidence in making changes that align with your values and goals.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, recognize what is already working, and develop practical steps toward their goals. Rather than focusing only on the problem, we explore the changes you would like to see and build on your existing skills and resources to help you move forward.
Trauma-Informed Care
I use a trauma-informed approach to create a safe, collaborative space that recognizes how past experiences can affect thoughts, emotions, relationships, and responses to stress. We work at a pace that feels manageable while building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and supporting a greater sense of choice, safety, and empowerment.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use a trauma-informed approach to create a safe, collaborative space that recognizes how past experiences can affect thoughts, emotions, relationships, and responses to stress. We work at a pace that feels manageable while building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and supporting a greater sense of choice, safety, and empowerment.
