I earned my Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy from Kansas State University. I earned my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Valdosta State University.
I am the most efficient in working with individuals who experienced depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, panic attacks, and relational problems. I am committed to providing my clients with compassionate care and comprehensive, solution-focused strength-based therapeutic services. As a researcher, I study effective treatments for depression and suicidal ideation in adults.
My therapeutic orientation is based on the holistic systemic approach, along with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, a trauma-focused therapy. Finally, I am a certified hypnotherapist in the state of Florida.
