Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and Undergraduate Degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies. I am passionate about helping people whom may be having difficulty navigating different mental health issues such as PTSD/ Trauma, Loss, Depression, and Anxiety. I take a person-centered approach with clients to give them a space to talk freely and openly without fear of judgement while being empathetic and compassionate throughout the therapeutic process. It takes a lot of courage to take the step to enter therapy, and I am happy you have made this first step in your healing journey!
In our first session together, we will work through introductions and for me to get a little bit of a better understanding as to why the client is seeking therapy services. This will help me collaborate with the client for follow-up sessions and next steps.
Having worked in the mental health field for the past 8 years it is important to me that a client feels comfortable to discuss their most vulnerable self. I am compassionate and take seriously my line of work, and would never ask a client to do something I myself would not be willing to do. It's okay to not be okay, just don't stay stuck there!
