I'm Dr. Kimberly Griffin, a graduate of Mercer University (PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision) and Clark Atlanta University (Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Professional Counselors Supervisor (CPCS) in the state of Georgia. I offer psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and couples dealing with personal challenges.
In your first session Dr. Griffin will confirm information in your assessment and obtain additional basic information to assess the presenting problem and reason for therapy. In following sessions, Dr. Griffin will help you process your feelings so you can make informed decisions for yourself. Keep in mind, a therapist should not tell you what to do for your betterment. The therapist is there to help you figure it out. This is done through asking probing questions and utilizing therapeutic techniques.
Although I work with clients dealing with several concerns, my focus has been on addiction, anxiety, depression, faith, and grief.
I have over 20 years of experience as a clinician, helping people understand their thoughts, core beliefs, and behavior to promote positive life changes.
