I have over 18 years of experience in counseling adolescents and adults of all ages, and although I know that starting therapy may seem difficult, I am hoping that through my practice you can feel at ease to express yourself in a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment. I hope you give therapy with me a chance! Throughout my career in counseling I have worked in private practice, in community mental health settings, and supervised counseling interns at George Washington University. As a bilingual therapist fully fluent in English and Spanish, I can hold sessions in either language. Having studied at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, at Virginia Tech and at George Mason University, I have always tried to be inclusive in my work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, religion, or sexual identity and orientation. Through our working relationship I am hoping to address your counseling goals whether they are to process your past, discover yourself, feel better, adjust to life's transitions, improve your relationships, grieve the loss of a loved one, or find balance in your life at a time of need. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Brief-Solution Oriented, Strength-Based and Structural/Strategic Couple's Therapy strategies. Hi, I’m Kimberly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping adults navigate anxiety, burnout, grief, life transitions, and the stress that can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who truly listens while also helping you build practical skills that create lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop healthier ways to cope, and work toward goals that align with the life you want to create. I’m especially interested in the connection between mental and physical wellness. Whether we’re talking about stress, sleep, routines, relationships, or lifestyle habits, I believe healing happens when we care for the whole person, not just the symptoms. Seeking therapy takes courage, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel understood, challenged when needed, and empowered to move forward with confidence.

First of all, I love what I do and to witness the positive changes clients make in their lives as a result of choosing therapy to help them accomplish what they want. Often the goal is to achieve symptom relief so as to not be overwhelmed by anxiety, mood disorders or be better able to manage the challenges of ADHD. Sometimes there is not a specific outcome identified but a need for ongoing support for dealing with life transitions or difficult people. Sometimes clients use therapy as a confidential sounding board where they can talk to an objective outsider about situations and sort out their perspective. I offer various ways to see and respond to situations that might otherwise not be considered. Your opinion as a client is the most important one and I will also honestly provide mine when asked for. I believe therapy can actually be something that you can look forward to and an opportunity to learn new skills to use long after you discontinue, and we can even have some fun and laughs along the journey.

Born and raised in the inner city by a single mother and a large extended family, I noticed the needs of those that were mentally or physically diagnosed were often not met. Therefore, I began to inquire about what I needed to do in order to be a part of the solution. I began to work in the field and I have worked in Behavioral/Mental Health for close to 20 years. My experience covers a plethora of ages and diagnosis across many settings. My determination to treat and support those with mental health diagnosis during the pandemic inspired me to perform outpatient therapy via telehealth to adults and adolescents. I specialize in adults 25-55 with various diagnoses but primarily Anxiety, PTSD, trauma and Depression to name a few. I love to utilize CBT, CPT, trauma informed care (TIC) and Motivational Interviewing as treatment modalities.

Hello! I’m so glad you took the first step to make meaningful change in your life. I’d love the opportunity to partner with you and learn about your strengths, struggles, and how we move forward together. I believe we all have the answers to the big questions in our lives, but sometimes we get stuck or need a non-judgmental perspective to help us. As someone who grew up in a military family and is now a military spouse, I understand the unique lifestyle and challenges that military spouses face. As someone who has experienced grief and the loss of a loved one to cancer and a baby to miscarriage, I can empathize with loss and the waves of despair that grief can bring. I take an eclectic approach to therapy and aim to meet you wherever you are, drawing on your experiences and providing you with tools to help guide you toward your goals.

Welcome. I am a Virginia-Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals find relief from life’s most pressing challenges, including relationship difficulties, parenting stressors, identity struggles, depression, grief, and anxiety. My diverse clinical background spans private practice, community agencies, and intensive in-home services, allowing me to effectively support clients across the lifespan—from young children to older adults. Clients frequently describe my therapeutic style as warm, professional, and appropriately humorous, creating an approachable environment where meaningful change can happen. To ensure my clients achieve measurable relief, I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) alongside traditional therapeutic modalities. This specialized training allows me to successfully guide clients through healing from trauma and reducing severe anxiety and depressive symptoms. I invite you to reach out today to discuss how we can partner in your wellness journey.
