The first appointment is the intake session. We will review your assessment responses, the intake form and discuss more in-depth your purpose for seeking therapy at this time in your life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I have been using a strength based approach for several years. It includes a combination of solution focused therapy, psycho-education, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and talk therapy. I use a strength based approach in my practice most often to address anxiety and other life challenges. For example, CBT is one type of a strength based approach that helps clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their mood. We’ll also use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
