In our first session together, we will focus on developing rapport and getting to know each other. During this session, I will begin the assessment process.
I utilize a variety of treatment modalities throughout sessions. However, I pride myself on treating the whole person. We will review every aspect of your life and determine how each impacts the other. My most commonly used modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which looks at how your behavior is guided by your thoughts. Did you know worrying about what's going to happen in the future can elicit real time anxiety today? I also utilize Motivational Interviewing, Strength-based Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
My biggest strength as your Clinician is that I ensure you have access to me. I usually respond to all needs and requests within 24- hours. You interact with me your therapist and don't have to worry about communicating with 4 or 5 people the same thing. We are a team, my success depends on your engagement and your therapeutic success depends on me so we are vested in ensuring we establish a positive relationship.

It was the amount of time she had been a therapist and she had a nice smile. Lashay did not make me feel ashamed at all. She listened to my story and by the end of it had all the peoples names right. She was paying attention to me. In the very beginning she made the statement that she liked being a therapist/counselor. That was very reassuring. She is very easy to be honest with and has a warm demeanor. I’m glad I choose her.
