Hi, I’m a licensed therapist, clinical supervisor, and the proud owner of Sunshine Holistic Health. With two Ivy League degrees — an M.Phil. in Professional Counseling and an M.S.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania — I bring both extensive clinical expertise and a compassionate, holistic approach to the work I do. I specialize in supporting individuals who are ready to invest in their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. My practice is built on the belief that healing happens when we care for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — and create space for people to reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I’m here to provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where you can grow and heal at your own pace. In addition to individual therapy, I offer clinical supervision and mentoring for fellow therapists, helping them develop their skills while honoring their own self-care and professional growth. At Sunshine Holistic Health, my goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where clients feel truly seen, valued, and empowered to live the lives they deserve.

As a therapist, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe in a client-centered, collaborative approach, where the therapeutic relationship is a partnership. I meet clients as equals, respecting them as the experts in their own lives, and providing unconditional positive regard. I recognize that clients’ struggles are often shaped by social, cultural, and political forces like gender, race, and class. I take an intersectional approach, understanding how various aspects of identity intersect to create unique experiences. I focus on empowerment—helping clients reclaim their voice, challenge societal norms, and recognize their inner strength. My approach is eclectic and tailored to each client’s needs. I integrate methods like Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support healing, whether through trauma processing, emotional regulation, or shifting unhelpful thought patterns. I’m also trauma-informed, providing a safe space for clients to explore past experiences at their own pace. I value cultural humility and am committed to understanding the impact of cultural background on mental health. I strive to be inclusive, respecting each person’s unique worldview and lived experience. I see therapy as a strength-based process rather than a path to fixing someone. Clients are not broken but resilient individuals with the capacity to grow and heal. My goal is to support clients in reconnecting with their agency and personal power, empowering them to make choices that align with their true selves. Ultimately, I am an empathetic, compassionate therapist dedicated to the growth, healing, and empowerment of my clients, always working from a place of respect, authenticity, and social justice.

I have thirteen years of clinical experience counseling individuals struggling with issues including anxiety, depression and trauma. I greatly value providing you with an authentic and judgement free experience. I find my clients appreciate my direct approach. In other words, I will give it to you straight. We will work towards what you want in life and that often means moving through what one historically avoids. What lies on the other side of the pain is the life you were meant to live. I also enjoy incorporating humor into our work together. Anxiety, depression and trauma often steal our joy and sense of humor. Joy and humor can be found again.

Hi—I see you. You're dealing with a brutal breakup, a messy divorce, a situationship from hell. You are feeling small. Your heart's been through it, and some days just getting out of bed feels impossible. I get it. My approach is down-to-earth and real. I bring warmth, humor, and steady support to our sessions. I'm not just here to listen (though we love a good vent)—I'm here to gently challenge you, help you spot the patterns, and walk alongside you as you heal and remember your own strength. Let's work with your whole self—mind, body, & values. We'll process feelings, spot patterns, and build real strategies. I will help you get clear on what matters most, then use that as your compass for decisions. It's time to decide what deserves your energy, and what doesn't. You'll leave feeling lighter and more like yourself.

As a Licensed Psychotherapist in Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire and Texas, I am dedicated to fostering healing and personal growth through an integrative approach to mental health. My practice is built on the belief that true healing involves the mind, body, and spirit, and this conviction led me to embrace the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method as a powerful tool in my therapeutic work. With extensive training in trauma-informed care, I have witnessed the profound impact that somatic practices can have on emotional and psychological healing. The Trauma Conscious Yoga Method not only complements traditional psychotherapy but also enhances my clients' ability to process trauma at a deeper level. By merging mindfulness-based yoga techniques with evidence-based therapeutic practices, I create a safe space where individuals can explore their feelings, release tension, and cultivate resilience. My approach is tailored to meet each client's unique needs, blending talk therapy with mindful movement and breathwork. This experiential method empowers clients to reconnect with their bodies, develop greater self-awareness, and foster a sense of grounding and stability. I am passionate about guiding individuals on their journeys toward healing, helping them reclaim their stories and find peace in their bodies. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, chronic illness, life stressors, or the lasting effects of trauma, my goal is to empower you to reclaim your narratives and move toward a place of balance and inner peace. I am here to support you in discovering the strength and tools you possess within. Together, we can embark on a transformative path toward wellness and self-empowerment.

Hi — hola. I’m Andrea Gonzalez, LCSW, and I’m really glad you’re here. I’ve spent years supporting youth and adults—and trauma has shaped me, too. I know how it can wire your nervous system toward overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and feeling “never good enough.” I share this only to say: I understand from the inside, and I’ll keep the focus on you. My approach is warm, steady, and trauma-informed. We’ll work with your story and your nervous system using attachment-focused work, inner-child exploration, mindfulness, somatic practices, narrative work, and trauma informed care. I take a holistic view—mind, body, and heart—and, if it resonates, we can integrate spirituality and energy-based practices to deepen healing and self-trust. Together we’ll create a grounded space to unpack what’s heavy, regulate your system, and build practical tools: boundaries you can keep, kinder self-talk, and healthier relationship patterns. We’ll move at your pace while doing work that actually shifts things—so you can feel clearer, steadier, and more yourself. If you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, people-pleasing, identity shifts, or relationship patterns, I’m here to walk with you—con corazón y claridad.

Search therapists by insurance

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Texas rather than a city like Dallas?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Texas from Houston to Austin! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Texas.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
