Hello there! Take a deep breath. It's not easy finding the right therapist. I have been on the other side of the therapy desk and know how hard it is to open up to a stranger. It's okay if you are anxious about it, I understand this. I have provided therapy for almost 20 years and have been in the mental health field for over 25 years in a multitude of settings - schools, prisons, outpatient and inpatient facilities. I've been in private practice for about 8 years. If you need just a few sessions to gain just a few tools to help over a rough patch, we can collaborate on that. Or, if you are ready for a major change in your life to address some serious problems, we can work on that, as well. My approach is collaborative, meaning, you and I are a team to work towards a solution for your current challenges.
Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker serving individuals in Illinois, Texas, and South Carolina. My background includes working with families who have faced abuse, neglect, and legal challenges.
I have also worked as a hospice social worker, where I provided support and education to families navigating the end-of-life process, helping them prepare to say goodbye to their loved ones.
In public schools, I conducted assessments and evaluations for students struggling academically, developed Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and offered social-emotional education and individual support for students dealing with issues such as peer relationships, bullying, anger, anxiety, and other challenges that can affect their learning and growth.
For several years, I have been in private practice, assisting both children and adults facing difficulties related to depression and anxiety, as well as supporting older adults dealing with lifestyle changes and health concerns. I also have experience helping individuals cope with grief.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a key element of my therapeutic approach. This evidence-based method equips clients with tailored tools and strategies. Together, we will identify triggers and explore ways to alleviate the physical and emotional symptoms you may be experiencing.
Having been raised in a military family and lived in various states, I have gained unique insights into community, culture, and the importance of building new relationships.
I am eager to learn and develop a trusting relationship with you as we work together to enhance your well-being and foster self-compassion on your journey.

🌿 Meet Ashley – Your Partner in Healing and Growth
Life doesn’t always go as planned—and I know that firsthand. I’ve walked through seasons of divorce, domestic and narcissistic abuse, the loss of a parent, fertility challenges, and a late-in-life career shift. These experiences shaped not only who I am, but how I show up for others. I bring both personal insight and professional expertise to help you navigate life’s toughest moments.
I understand how overwhelming fear, failure, and hopelessness can feel. I’ve been there—just surviving. But healing is possible. Today, I’m thriving, and I believe you can too.
You don’t have to carry your pain alone. Whether you're facing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, or the aftermath of narcissistic abuse, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll work toward building a life rooted in hope, peace, and purpose.
As a Texas-based therapist, I specialize in trauma-informed care and support clients from all walks of life—including teens and adults. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique journey.
✨ Let’s begin your path to healing—one step at a time.
I work alongside my clients to empower them to choose their own future, and find the path to the future within themselves. To empower my clients, I utilize an eclectic approach based on cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and internal family systems.
I received a Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and have worked in both inpatient and partial hospitalization settings as well as private practice for a total of 5 years. I'm a native Texan but I also lived in Chicago for 8 years before moving back to my home state.
I am a seasoned counselor familiar with adolescents, issues of personal development, empowerment, issues about personal power, overcoming fear, and identifying values. I value honesty, courage, self-actualization and altruism. I have worked almost exclusively with males. I see the world from a male perspective because that's the point of view I have experienced life through. I have spent years in the gym. I am a musician, and I play out somewhere every week.
There are a few high-stakes, difficult life situations I want to address here: If you are afraid of your child setting a fire, trying to get a gun, or stealing from you in plain sight, reach out. If your child is being bullied, I might be able to help him to acquire the skills necessary to hold his own in life. Finally, if you or a family member is being stalked or threatened by someone, I may be able to professionally assess the danger.

"I’m not your typical therapist, and I’m okay with that. I wear my history on my sleeves and my philosophy in my name: Rugged + Regulated.
For the last 20 years, my career has been defined by working where the work is hardest. From years of navigating the complexities of the foster care system to training organizations on how to handle trauma without breaking, I’ve learned one universal truth: You cannot think your way out of a problem you behaved your way into
I am a Texas-based therapist who believes in self-sufficiency. I don't want you to be in therapy forever. I want to give you the DBT and ACT tools you need to regulate your own nervous system, set your own goals, and build a future that looks the way you want it to look.
If you’re looking for a safe space to be exactly who you are—tattoos, metal music, motorcycle gear, and all—you’ve found it. Let's get to work."

Hello! I bring 17 years of mental health experience along for your sessions. I have been in private practice since January of 2023. I consider myself a generalist and I'm happy to help you with any need or concern that you might have. Some of the areas where I have the most experience are depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and grief and loss. I have spent the majority of my career working in a University setting and have helped many college-age adults make meaningful changes. I have also worked in behavioral health clinics and have experience working with clients that have been legally referred to therapy. I work with almost all age groups however, I typically do not work with persons under the age of 18. If you are a minor, please have your guardian consult with me before scheduling an intake and I will consider your need and my areas of expertise and help you determine our next steps. I am also no longer able to accommodate couples therapy. If you are seeking a couples therapy session I will be happy to assist you with a referral. At this time, I am unable to assist with FMLA paperwork.

I have worked in diverse mental health settings and have been practicing therapy since 2015.
I am the oldest daughter of immigrants and a first generation college graduate. From a very young age I felt the weight of expectations put on to me by my family, society, and my culture. I became very good at taking on roles that were not mine, and quickly burned myself out. It wasn’t until graduate school that I really allowed myself to explore the root of my unhappiness. I needed to stop doing for everyone else and finally make myself the priority; I mattered too.
I now enjoy empowering individuals to find their voice and discover the freedom that comes with letting go of past hurt and behaviors that no longer serve them, and finally pursue the life they’ve always wanted.

I'm a therapist and I work with people who have mixed anxiety and depression. Over time, I've noticed a few patterns my client's have in common. See if this fits: you're tired of being your own worst critic.
Maybe you've achieved what you're "supposed to" but feel unfulfilled. Or maybe you're stuck while others seem to move forward easily. Either way, you're harder on yourself than anyone else would be.
Your mind won't quiet down at night but feels foggy during the day. Simple tasks pile up because they feel overwhelming. You put things off, then beat yourself up for procrastinating.
Some days motivation is nonexistent. Other days you're anxious about everything. You've tried apps, routines, and productivity systems. Nothing works long-term because you're working against yourself.
You avoid important things because failure feels terrifying. Then you criticize yourself for avoiding them. The cycle keeps repeating.
Whether you're a perfectionist or feel like you're falling behind, the internal commentary is harsh. Your relationships suffer because you're distracted by self-judgment.
Therapy helps you change that inner dialogue.
Learning to treat yourself with basic kindness isn't self-indulgent—it's practical. You don't have to be your own obstacle.

Hello,
I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over twenty years of experience and licensed in Michigan and Texas. I've worked with a variety of clients in many different settings. While I have worked in many areas of mental health, my current emphasis is working with adults, seniors (+65) and college students. My focus is working with those experiencing Trauma/PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression and career and life transitions.
I witness people in their present predicaments and tell them what I see and feel. Acknowledgement of pain, a counterintuitive process, is the secret sauce of ordering our lives into functional, fun, and life-affirming behaviors. The process of emotional healing takes time, dedication, and practice. Willingness to feel what has been unfelt and to voice what has been unsaid will help you see positive changes in your life.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, panic, or emotional stress - or noticing patterns from the past repeating in your relationships - you’re not alone. Unresolved trauma, depression, or anger can affect the way you think, behave, and connect with others. These patterns can also affect how you see yourself - leading to self-doubt, low self-esteem, or a sense of not being good enough.
I’m Manuel Olvera, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I specialize in helping adults work through anger, anxiety, acute and complex trauma, depression, self-doubt, and relationship issues, so you can feel more calm and balanced. I also welcome clients who struggle with ADHD-related challenges, particularly when emotional regulation or past trauma is involved. Teenagers are also welcome.
In therapy, I aim to listen more than I talk. I offer guidance and explain psychological concepts when they’re helpful, but my main focus is creating space for you to express yourself and process what you're feeling. I ask questions to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors - and I follow your lead.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and elements of CBT to support healing at the level of both the mind and body. I also help you explore how past wounds may be affecting your current relationships. For couples, I use the Gottman Method and often work with each partner individually in addition to joint sessions - especially when personal trauma is showing up in the relationship dynamic.
Whether you’re seeking relief from anxiety, struggling with anger, shutdown, or self-doubt - or feeling disconnected from yourself or the people around you - therapy can help. You don’t have to have all the answers. If you’re ready to start, I’d be honored to work with you.
I specialize in brief collaborative therapy where we look at current issues, how you cope, how you learned the coping skills and alternatives solutions. We will look at your self-care including spirituality and how to improve your self care if needed. Weekly assignment tasks related to your short term goals will be agreed upon. We will work together to learn and understand where you are now and how the past has impacted you. Engaging in therapy can be anxiety provoking, exciting and freeing. If you are willing to work on our mutually agreed upon assignment between our counseling sessions, you will find we make progress.
I worked in criminal justice prior to being licensed in Michigan where I grew up and studied. Upon moving to Chicagoland, I worked 10 years with a crisis response team and an employee assistance program. This is where I learned to develop skills to drill down into client issues and work with the client to reduce discomfort and improve coping skills. Our counseling sessions did not last beyond 6-8 meetings. I moved to Texas in 2003 and since then have continued to work on crisis teams and with military members/spouses on installations. My practice has been focused on supporting couples communications; life transitions including grief/loss, career transitions, parenting skills and integrating/applying client's spiritual practice into every day life.
Clients describe me as safe to talk with about difficult topics; active and contributing to the dialog; creative in opening up behavioral and cognitive options.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist and Certified Grief Educator. I specialize in helping adults navigate the profound challenges of depression, grief, bipolar disorder, ADHD and anxiety. My own life experiences, including the loss of my son in 2023, have given me a unique perspective and a deeply empathetic approach. I understand the courage it takes to open up and the transformative growth that therapy can bring. I am here to provide a safe and compassionate space for self-discovery and healing.
While therapy requires time, effort, and patience, the journey is deeply rewarding. Discovering the best version of yourself is an investment worth making, and I would be honored to guide you on this transformative path.

Hey there! As a former NCAA Division I athlete I know all too well about the unique challenges that come along with being a student-athlete, in addition to all the ‘regular’ everyday life challenges we face. I've played organized sports since elementary and attended Texas Southern University on a full basketball scholarship for 4 years; and, if i could do it all over again, I would do it with a therapist by my side.
My name is Jessica Hornage; and, I have over 12 years of working experience in the mental health field. For the past 7 years, I have been fully licensed as a professional counselor in Texas.

Hello! My name is Guadalupe, I am a Catholic Licensed Professional Counselor who has experience working with diverse populations. My approach to therapy entails collaborating with you as an individual and working together to navigate towards the root of the issue. During our sessions, you are in control – we will only go as far as you are willing to. However, as your therapist, it will be my duty to carefully prod and inquire in certain instances to help you in your healing process. This may sound uncomfortable, even scary, but I hope you learn how discomfort may bring changes to your emotional stability, general happiness, and overall mental state. If you have come this far to search for a therapist then there is a part of you that is conscious of a living experience absent of these burdens: it is that same part that believes and hopes on that version of you. Consider then listening to that inner voice that is yearning to be known.
¡Hola!

Therapy can feel like a scary thing, but it doesn't have to be. There isn't anything you have to be scared to tell me- I'll literally lose my license if I betray your trust! I have worked with all kinds of trauma, orientations, and lifestyles. I have worked with a wide range of people, and I believe in respecting everyone. This is a safe place for growth and healing to start. Life is too short to not give it a try.
My goal is always for you to feel safe and heard. Sometimes going through changes is a painful difficult thing, so it helps to have someone who you feel you can discuss frustrations with. If you ever feel that we are not a good fit, I will support you in finding someone who is. No one should have to feel alone when they are working to better their selves.
