My journey in counseling began when I witnessed my middle school students struggling both emotionally and academically, and I felt called to do more than I could within the field of education. I started working in the field of therapy 20 years ago as a Social Worker in Substance Use. I continued my work as a LPC working in a treatment center for drugs and alcohol doing therapy on the people who had addictions and the people that love someone with an addiction. Over the last 15 years I have gained experience in all the issues and Diagnosis that come with this population. I help people overcome addictions, co-dependency, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and trauma. My specialty is addressing sexual, emotional and physical abuse that is past abuse or current abuse and the PTSD caused by abuse.
