Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) I received my master's from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and have been practicing for 16 years. I help adult clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder, and relationship and career stressors. I enjoy using Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. I also integrate other modalities depending on the need presented.
In our first session, we will start with a brief introduction and a brief social history and history related to previous treatment and then dive into specific challenges and expectations for therapy. This will help me to create a treatment plan for us to follow to address the challenges identified. At the end of the session, you will have an opportunity to reflect on what was helpful and what was not.
Having worked with adults for the past 16 years, I have developed the ability to listen, be present and provide interventions and support needed to promote progress.
I love working with adults who want to live their best lives but do not know how to. My clients are motivated and eager to do the work needed to make progress.

I have been using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for the past 16 years to treat clients suffering from depression and anxiety. Cognitive Behavior Therapy focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings and behavior. In therapy I teach my clients how to identify this connection and to start challenging their negative thoughts by finding facts or evidence for their thoughts. As a result, with time they begin to start finding facts for their negative thoughts and hopefully letting go of thoughts they don't have facts for.
I have been using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for the past 4 years. Cognitive Processing Therapy is a type of treatment used to help clients process traumatic events. In therapy I use this treatment to help clients identify stuck points related to the trauma and process those stuck points. This treatment is structured and clients have weekly assignments to complete
