I am an experienced counselor who has worked in a variety of mental health settings. Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. I received my masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and have been practicing for 8 years. I have experience working with individuals from ages 3-100, but am currently only working with adults and young adults. I have a vast experience in crisis work, dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. I also have experience working with difficult family dynamics.
I love listening to people's stories. And we all have powerful stories shaping our lives. I began my career in social services as an educator and moved into mental health, feeling compelled to address larger systems of wellbeing. I have worked, volunteered and supported schools, universities, hospital systems, crisis centers, and non-profits. These professional and personal experiences have given me a broad scope of practice and intersected with different populations.
I was raised between the United States and Mexico and am fluent in Spanish and learning beginning Urdu/Hindi. I identify as a cisgender, straight Latina woman and a person of color with a soul for social justice and decolonizing mental health. I have a deep appreciation for native world views and Eastern spirituality, which will often find their way into my practice. I am also certified to teach yoga and facilitate the art of breathwork and meditation
I am a licensed psychologist who enjoys working with clients who may be struggling with depression or difficult life situations that have them feeling stuck. I am a solution-oriented psychologist and thus work to help clients identify practical solutions and effective strategies to their life situations.

Since the days of pigtails, I’ve been pulled by this strong force to access wisdom and connect with something higher than this tangible world. This gnawing passion has led me to study the power of the mind and how to create what our souls truly desire.
I’ve been blessed to study ancient technologies such as yoga and breathwork and am so passionate about sharing simple tools to effect real change.
I was trained in counseling at University of North Texas, receiving my Masters in Education. My favorite courses were transpersonal counseling and stress reduction through movement. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and have currently been practicing for 7 years.
I’m also a certified yoga teacher and trained at the Shri Kali ashram in India. The types of yoga I teach focus on activating the parasympathetic nervous system to release the whole self from the ever vigilant fight or flight mode a lot of us find ourselves in on a constant basis to survive in this modern culture.
In the therapy session, my main intent is to be fully present with you, free of judgment; to Become a spacious environment in which you can explore your own truth and start to shed the layers that no longer serve.

Hi, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I’m passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. I work with adults, teens, and women who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, and are ready for deeper healing. Hello, my name is Teresa, practicing mental health for over 18 years working with the military population. Working as a middle school teacher in a lower socioeconomic area. This led to my desire to go back to school for my master’s degree in counseling psychology. Receiving my LPC licensure, led me to pursue my chemical dependency counselor license (LCDC). I began working as a substance abuse counselor with the US Army in substance abuse counseling. While working with the military I worked at a local hospital developing a program for civilians in chemical dependency. The need to work with individuals, and families including Service Members, led me to work as a contractor for private corporations. During this time, I received a certification in behavioral therapy to work with the autism spectrum population. Raised as a military dependent, then wife and mother, I experienced many aspects of different personalities. I was led to understand what it means to try to hide who you are to eventually become someone you may not recognize.
The goal is to have you see, life is wonderful, we go through the storm to appreciate the sunshine. The experience developed led me to work with addiction, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health issues. We are a beautiful bouquet with different views on life. Using an eclectic therapeutic array of mental health care has allotted me to develop individual care. This concept of care is the same for couples and group therapy. Some techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychosocial therapeutic techniques.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals navigate the lasting effects of childhood wounds, anxiety, and life's most challenging transitions. My work is rooted in the belief that true healing begins when people feel genuinely heard, respected, and safe enough to be vulnerable.
I bring a warm, direct, and collaborative presence to the therapeutic relationship. My approach blends evidence-based practices — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and self-compassion frameworks — with a deep respect for each client's cultural background, lived experience, and unique story. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Instead, I meet clients where they are and tailor my approach to what they actually need.
Much of my work centers on helping clients understand how early experiences — such as emotional neglect, conditional love, abandonment, and shame — continue to shape their thoughts, emotions, and relationships in adulthood. I also have a dedicated focus on men's mental health, providing a space where men can move beyond cultural expectations of silence and strength to reconnect with their emotional lives in meaningful ways.
My background includes working with individuals recovering from addiction and those rebuilding their lives after significant hardship. These experiences have deepened my belief in human resilience and the capacity for growth at any stage of life. In our work together, I aim to help you build self-awareness, develop practical emotional regulation skills, and cultivate a healthier relationship with yourself and others. My goal is not just symptom relief — it is lasting, meaningful change that reflects who you truly are and who you are becoming.

Hi, I'm Dr. Joycelyn Anderson — but most people just call me Dr. J.
I've spent over 16 years walking alongside people through the moments that reshape who they are: a big move, a new role, a strained relationship, a season of just feeling stuck. I started my career in K-12 schools and eventually opened Evolution of Life Wellness and Counseling, PLLC, because I wanted to work with people across every stage of that journey—not just one chapter of it.
A few years ago, I relocated, and it taught me something I now bring into every session: change doesn't just rearrange your circumstances; it can quietly unsettle your sense of self. I know what it's like to feel like you're starting over, and I know that healing rarely happens in a straight line.
I bring a whole-person approach to our work together—your mind, your body, your relationships, your faith, if that matters to you, and your story all belong in the room. I'll never ask you to leave parts of yourself at the door. My style is warm but direct; I'll walk with you gently, and I'll also tell you the truth when it matters.
Outside of sessions, I'm someone who still believes in slow mornings and good conversation. I host a podcast called The Evolving Mosaic, where I talk about identity, belonging, and the beautiful, messy process of becoming.
If you're considering therapy, I know that first step can feel like a lot. I hope that by the time we meet, it already feels a little less like starting with a stranger and more like continuing a conversation.
Hello, I am Sandra Ventura and I am a Licenced Professional Counselor. I would like you to know that I love the work I do and I'd like to be part of your support system. I know how hard it is to reach out for help when you are going "through it", because I have been there. I know it is hard to find a professional that will listen to your concerns and not talk about theirs because I have been there too. I want you to know that is not how I operate. I am a straight shooter, I don't waste time, and I do not mislead my clients. I don't have a magic pill or a silver bullet to make all your concerns go away. I do have extensive professional experience working with a broad range of problems and seeing people get better. I treat adjustment disorders, trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, and work-related issues to name a few. I use evidence-based techniques and strategies to get you back on top of your game fast. I work with a wide and diverse population and I am familiar with a broad range of cultures and lifestyles. I am fluent in Spanish. I invite you to consider working with me and take me along on your journey to a better you.
