As a therapist, I am compassionate, grounded, and deeply committed to creating a safe space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I approach therapy with empathy, authenticity, and respect, understanding that every person’s story and healing journey are unique. I believe meaningful therapy begins with connection and trust. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable enough to explore difficult emotions, life experiences, and personal challenges without fear of judgment. I strive to meet clients where they are while encouraging growth, resilience, and self-awareness at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. My style is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I value open communication and work alongside clients to identify strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and navigate life’s transitions and emotional struggles with greater confidence and clarity. Whether a client is facing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I aim to provide a calming and supportive presence throughout the therapeutic process. In addition to my counseling background, my experience as an ASL interpreter has strengthened my ability to listen carefully, communicate intentionally, and appreciate the importance of feeling understood. Above all, I want clients to know they do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where they are encouraged to share at their own pace. The first appointment is primarily focused on getting to know one another, understanding what brings them to therapy, and discussing the goals they hope to achieve through counseling. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or intimidating, so I strive to create a calm and welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and emotionally safe. During the session, we will talk about current concerns, personal history, stressors, relationships, coping patterns, and any symptoms they may be experiencing. Clients can also expect collaboration. Therapy is not about being “fixed” — it is about building insight, developing healthy coping skills, and creating meaningful change together. I will answer questions, explain the therapy process, and work with each client to begin creating a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs and goals. Most importantly, clients should leave the first session feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about the therapeutic journey ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to create a safe, calming, and genuinely supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I bring empathy, patience, and authenticity into every session, helping clients feel heard, validated, and respected throughout their healing journey. One of my strongest qualities is my ability to build meaningful therapeutic relationships. I believe trust and connection are essential for growth, and I work hard to create a space where clients feel emotionally safe without fear of judgment. Clients often appreciate my warm, grounded presence and collaborative approach to therapy. I am also a strong listener and communicator. My background as an ASL interpreter has strengthened my attentiveness, ability to read emotional nuance, and appreciation for the many ways people express themselves beyond words alone. This helps me connect deeply with clients and better understand their experiences. Another strength I bring is balance — offering compassion and emotional support while also helping clients develop practical coping skills, insight, and tools they can use in everyday life. I strive to help clients feel empowered, resilient, and capable of creating meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to feel heard, supported, and empowered through life’s challenges. I work well with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm who are looking for a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to process and heal. As an LPC and ASL interpreter, I value communication, connection, and creating an environment where clients feel genuinely understood. I especially enjoy working with clients who may feel “stuck,” emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves and want to rebuild confidence, coping skills, and balance in their lives. My ideal client does not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. They simply need a willingness to show up authentically and explore growth at their own pace. Together, we focus on creating practical tools, emotional insight, and meaningful progress toward healing and personal well-being.
